Ruff, if u get to play before I, try to ask Donovan for 600 gold.
[PB25 Spoiler] General Flauros leads the Creole Calabim

ok, so as of the 'turn of the gifts' all 20 Knights, and all three Great Generals have been destroyed by Gavagai.
I'm assuming the Knights were destroyed, although its possible they were mod removed b/c they were used for an accidental double move, not exactly sure how that sort of thing works. But since I didn't get a Great General I really don't know. So, if they reload, you will still have no army, but you will have a navy. If they don't reload, you will have given a paltry token army to Donovan, in the attempts that he can take the fight to Elkad, and then have declared against him in the hopes that he signs a 10 turn NAP. (with NAP offered same turn) Later ask him for around 400-600 gold to try to recoup losses. Also, I gifted HAK my navy and asked for 100 gold per turn. If he didn't accept it, keep asking, otherwise probably stop gifting him units and consider him an enemy. Etcetera. It was in many ways a mad gambit, but due to Commodore's war declaration, and the loss of my knights, I saw no other way than to focus on Economic Buildup during the 10 turns peace with Gavagai and Commodore ... and there can always be drafts to build muskets. Currently most cities are building Banks, with the intent of raising our GNP abilities. We are 3rd behind HAK and Commodore in terms of GNP I think, and with a little work I think we could become competitive. If we truly get 1000 from HAK, and 600 from Donovan, that will further these aims. If we don't then Cie La Vie, it IS a non-diplo game after all. I mean hell, HAK thinks im being replaced because of what I did in the game. So Ruff, depending on your playstyle, choose whether or not you want the reload.
You will need to reload. The gifts were considered cheese by the lurker community and not acceptable.
I am fine with the reload. What mod should I be using? I will also need to check my connection file again.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

There will be a reload as soon as we can manage it, to before the unit gifts. Obviously to undo the unit gifts (even if intended to be sales). Ruff, feel free to play any way you want, but without the unit gifting insanity. And thank you for taking over.

This civ is in a sorry state ... here is the current cultural situation ...
It seems that this civ use to own a lot more land that it currently does. Also ... can I start ranting against the map maker for not giving this civ a back line. It seems that this bunny of a civ is right in the middle and ready to be squashed by everyone. BTW ... what sort of army is this? Edit: Sorry about the big pictures ... any idea how to reduce them in size without GIMPing them? Edit2: Thanks for the screenshot tag.

Just use the [screenshot] tag for better image viewing, works well with huge images.
The army situation is the cause of the reload. The units you're looking for now belong to other people. Working on the reload now. 1. Old Harry has probably taken enough abuse about the map by now.
2. I've processed the reload. Check your army, you should have more units now if I've reloaded to the right turn. Basically you should now have a navy and a western army, rather than those forces having been given away. Though nothing should be bringing the knight stack back to life that Tas carelessly let Gavagai wipe out. 3. Instead of using [img] tags try using [screenshot] around big images. It will do some handy javascript work to shrink the image to a nice width while allowing you to click the image to go full size. That's a nice feature T-Hawk added a while back. Edit: I see your messed up links above -- you need to have the [screenshot] tags around a URL, I don't think it works with attachments?
