[Spoilers] I have enough games already. Oh look, a PBEM !

I have some good news for you : we got banking this turn. I'll build a few banks next turn. GNP is still ok but the GA stops at the end of next turn so that's not going to last.

I built the great library and 2 banks this turn. We got a GM so he'll be bulbing PP next turn (not sure if he'll be enough by himself). I was wrong the other day, the GA continues next turn.

So we lost our colonies and some of our homelands, but got a roaring financial sector? Better off than real Greece I suppose...

So we're just waiting for war to break out between Sian and retep? On whom will you prefer to pike on?

I want Retep to win overall.
Moai island is still pretty cool (with TGL now) and it will be building more triremes to make sure retep's galleys can't do a lot of harm.
Next turn I'm revolting into pacifism and vassalage.

Sian attacked Retep and got a GG. Not sure how the battle went. I can attack Sian next turn if I want to, which I'm not sure I want. I only have a few knights and cuirs and I'm in builder mode right now (banks, heroic epic, then west point, some jails). The post-GA GNP at breakeven is in front of Retep's. So not as bad as I thought. Finally, I'm not sure how to interpret that :

I've built a fort over a town that will soon be in one of his city's BFC (in former Grimace territory I still have more culture than him on most tiles but I think that won't last). That may be it, he should be pretty unhappy about that. I'll do something similar over a horse resource of his as well. But it could also be something else, I dunno.

Jails seem overkill IMO

Builder mode should be fine, but let's have a force ready to strike in case Sian and retep go to war (and exchange power significantly)

Well Sian getting a GG probably means there was some fighting this turn. Next turn should give some indication as to what's really happening. And yes jail is overkill but without the espionage bonus from nationhood I don't feel safe. Plus I still have WW with Sian. IDK it's probably a bad idea but I don't care enough, Retep has put so much EP against me that I really want to get a better output.

On the bright side I just noticed that there was a long due update in Sian's thread, I wonder why he broke the silence.

I sent a last-hope offer to Retep

Here's my reasoning. Retep had some pretty big losses on the first turn of the war but now both he and Sian got a GG so he must have had some victories too. But he's now behind Sian in numbers and quality of soldiers, and in land/production potential (I think he used to beat him in quantity of soldiers before). His side : I enter the war on his side to take away some of Sian's soldiers (and probably some cities) to give him some relief and narrow the gap between them. He loses the Colossus and a useless city. He can send his pikes currently in Pappus to help against Sian.

I would understand if he considered that the Colossus is more important than my help. I think it's a gambit he should be making, because he seems to be losing already.

My side : I get the Colossus back for a strong economy, getting me rifling soon. Right now I estimate it at ~15t (5 or 6 for RP and 9-10 for rifling itself). I get Pappus back which is a strong city. I'd say this bring my chances from 0.01% to 1%. I'd be sending all my troops against Sian which will get me Euclid back easily (but because I gave it back to sian in a peace deal I don't have culture there any more, I'll have to eat turns of revolt). Maybe some of former Grimaceland as well. It lowers Sian's chances to win, which is a goal we've had ever since he first attacked all those turns ago.

Of course the downside for me is that Sian could wipe my attack stack, but I don't really care any more.

Yeah baby !

I'm attacking next turn (I sent Retep a 1gpt for 1gpt offer to signal that), and I sure hope to take down some of Sian's cities. At least he'll have to divert some of his units to my front which should give Retep a break. Sian also got a huge drop in power so they're still even, except Sian has cuirs.

I'll have rifling in 13t I think, Sian is ahead of me he already has RP. I hope I won't get it too late.
