thx for the comments - I was pretty sure someone was going to talk about all the units those hammers could build. I know that I am delaying units at the moment - want to get to RR as soon as possible and then have my workers run around getting +1h everywhere (well, almost). They are currently roading tiles that I have left unroaded.
Re Sooooo - I could talk to him and join up together ... but that would leave me having to attack mh who is half a world away. Oh - do you mean Dreylin ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) . Well, we haven't deTOG'd the world yet. Re what happens after that - Dreylin and I have talked about a cheezy AP victory so that might be an option ... I think that that stage, this game will be pretty much dead and done and we might want to put it out of its misery.
Anyhoo ...

Was it you that just finished steam power? Do you want to trade it for

Yes, that was me discovering SP. You should be able to tell from F4 in the game ... but you might not have wanted to open the game just to make certain.
Regarding your suggested trade ... I do not want to release the knowledge of this technology to you at the moment.
Regards,
Ruff
It took me a while to get the 'go away' wording right. I know that he doesn't have coal so he doesn't gain much by picking up that tech ... oh oh ... apart from being 1 tech closer to machine guns. I certainly don't want that.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Hey - does anyone know the dynamics behind the AP voting. Like ...
- when they come up?
- how many between AP Pope elections?
We had one were I forced closed borders on mh but that didn't really work as Sooooo just opened them again. Since then, I have two more offers (war on the infidels against ath) that I haven't bothered with.

here is the guide.
I think they come every 10 turns, if there's an eligible vote, and 4 votes between pope elections

I think it's every 6 turns for AP votes and every 5th is for Pope.
I don't think you can get much value out of any of them unless you're actually at war and want to force peace, given there's no incentive to defy in any other circumstance I can think of.

Yes, I wasn't exactly talking about going after mh ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) I was more thinking about if you were still planning on going for the win, and well an AP victory is really

I found this guide (edit: it is the same guide as rego posted - mine is to the strategy guide, his is to the discussion thread). But I also loaded up prior turns (a huge advantage of pbem over pitboss) to find the following:
T84 - AP Election
T93 - Close Borders with mh (only to find out that it doesn't really work in mp)
T100 - Resolution Option (not taken)
T107 - Resolution Option (not taken)
T114 - AP Election
T121 - Resolution Option (not taken)
T128 - Resolution Option (not taken)
Looks like we are on a 7 turn time. Next AP turn is T135.

Any chance of spending lots of EP on DV to have more culture in the city and have an AP vote to give it to you.
(probably too late and not worth it now compare to military actions: will take too long and Soooo will just have to defy)
