We just want our throne back Wesnoth SG 2

Well, if he's loyal, at least we won't have a significant monetary penalty (beyond recall costs...) for using him once a mission and then forgetting about him! lol

We should try this multiplayer sometime

But yeah, the variance on thunderers can be very annoying no matter whose side they're on.

so true ulfserkers are so weak.

I once had a max level ulfserker (he came max didn't level him ever) die to a level 0 bat.

Life steal destroyed him.

We can set up a multiplayer game.

We just would need to decide either
  • do we not place fog + shroud
do we have somone who is not playing pass all the turn along.
or play one long game on the server somone sets up

Ps I am volunteering to be the idiot passing the turn along if a game does get set up

Playing turns...

T13:
Shot warrior; hit only one of two hits needed against crossbowman.
Moved some spare troops toward likely point of entrance of undead. Particularly, moved our mages that way because fire damage will be handy. (Although, now that I think about it, they won't get much of the usual accuracy advantage...)
Grabbed village with Kalenz.

T14:
Missed warrior; whiffed with both whacks needed to kill crossbowman.
Continued grabbing villages and shuffling units.

T15:
Turned one of the mages around in case we actually break through soon and will be fighting things in fortifications...
I finally managed to make headway by killing the two enemy units (whacked the crossbowman and then managed to land the second of two thunder shots) but we lost it all on the interturn when they turned around and killed both the units I moved in.
I think I should have had the fighter stand pat instead of attacking the pillager. smoke

Looks good, Ranamar. thumbsup

At least the two dwarves who died were low/no XP newbies. Our front line pair are almost to the point of promoting, which will help a lot. Throwing level 1 units at level 2s is painful. frown Be very careful about attacking with the dwarf fighter -- he may be better moved back from the fighting and a mage sent in instead, at least until there is a chance to attack a crossbow or other relatively low-melee unit. The thunderer can continue missing and getting his 2 XP per turn.

I agree we need to shuffle more units southward -- the undead should emerge within the next few turns, probably just after the upcoming turn set. We will need to have units ready.

I see the merman is (finally!) approaching the lake. So we can hit the whirlpool and claim our loyal lol ulfserker. Who knows, he might even survive a fight....

I should be able to play tonight. Probably.

Sadly, the formerly-no-xp thunderer we lost had 16xp from the kill on him when we lost him.

Anyway, we have more thunderers, so one option is to just have two thunderers plinking away until another good opening for a fighter shows up. The one on the line right now needs only 2 more xp to level up, himself. Also, because of regen, we really want to put more pressure on that troll.

Didn't happen. I've got a pretty busy weekend scheduled, so go ahead and skip me this go-round. Jkaen, that makes you up.

Ok, played my turn, pulled the main group back a line to get 3v2 rather than the 2v2 we had, this also allowed blue to suicide some units that were in the way.

Also rescued Mr Ulfserker and set up the south group ready to spring the undead next set.

Promotions, got 1 of our musket dwarves promoted, and got us a L4 mage.
