Holy! Just realized that the deck is in portuguese. Well, maybe the cards are still identifiable by the picture.

Amidst all this success, I managed my 2nd 0-3 run. The draft was horrendous giving me 3 bad options time and time again. It also offered me a total of two 2 mana minions in the entire draft. I passed on the first Succubus early in the draft but I took the 2nd one it offered me near the end. Combined with just a Flame Imp and a Young Priestess (I got desperate for low mana minions) I lost board control early on all 3 games and despite some reasonable removal, I could never get anything to stick on the board and lost every game with a huge card advantage even though I wasn't overly zealous on tapping.
Took my frustration out on Ranked and went 4-1 with my suboptimal warlock deck there.

Speaking of Legendary spam...
Captain Greenskin, The Black Knight, and Nozdormu in the same deck. I think I've had 3 Legendaries total before this draft. The entire draft was insane. There's only 3 cards I'm not thrilled with (the 2 Equalities and Raid Leader). Here's what my options were (I didn't use Arena Value while drafting, the penalizes-multiples-of-the-same-card issue is painfully evident and problematic): http://www.arenavalue.com/s/qDdQwr Punching in the data, it was even more clear how bad it is since this draft was loaded with multiples (I only have 20 unique cards, and 3 of them are legendaries...). I mean, it recommended I take Blessing of Kings over Truesilver Champion because it was my 3rd Truesilver when I had 1 card (Captain Greenskin) that LOVES Truesilvers to boot, and very few cards that are begging for the Blessing.
Heh, it's remarkable how many of those Portugese cards are nearly the same as the English versions if you flip the first and second words.
It's too bad Nozdormu doesn't have good stats for its cost because it's an interesting concept. Just compare it to Ironbark Protector, any of the giants, or even fat and much cheaper cards like War Golem and Boulderfist Ogre.
2 Equalities in a deck with a Knife Juggler and 2 Consecrates seems pretty good to me. Raid Leader is the only bad card (okay maybe Nozdormu) in your deck. The only real worry is you seem light on 2-drops unless you want to play Argent Protectors without the battlecry. But everything else seems so strong that Turn 2 Hero Power is probably okay most of the time.
I would have gone for the BoK over Truesilver 3. You have a lot of early drops and Acolyte+BoK is just insane.
Wow Cyneheard, those legendary picks...you were offered 9 altogether and 8 of them were mediocre or worse.
I would also take 3rd truesilver. In a quick game half your cards wont be played...so 25% chance of no swords showing with just 2. If you get more than you need for minions, 1 card that deals 8 damage to enemy and heals 4 to you aint terrible.
Played: FFH PBEM XXVI (Rhoanna) FFH PBEM XXV (Shekinah) FFH PBEM XXX (Flauros) Pitboss 11 (Kublai Rome)
Playing:Pitboss 18 (Ghengis Portugal) PBEM 60 - AI start (Napoleon Inca)
Ahhhhh... feels good.
Won the 12th game and got 300 gold for my 100th win as a bonus! I'll take it. The one lost game (game #9) featured a situation where I attacked my opponent with a guy and then used my hero ability to kill off his guy. Except... my guy lunged across the screen just as I let go the ability and intercepted the 1 damage. Man I was pissed. That may have swung the game, although it was one of the harder ones regardless, I think. The last three were all rogues, and this deck crushed them in quick games. This is a big step up from a previous draft where I got 3 legendaries and went 3-3, my worst record so far. (Yeah I just had to slip that in there, sorry.) So far I've yet to have a run where I didn't lose one of the games to learning a new mechanic. Mostly it's been about copying and timing rules and inaccurate wordings though, not animations. If there's some help option or link that explains the game rules, I couldn't find it. Been enjoying Hearthstone a lot so far, though just the arena. (It seems I can't meaningfully play constructed until I've won bunch more arena runs, so I'm not bothering with it.) It's a really well made game - I'm seriously impressed. My biggest gripe with the game: I find it absolutely ridiculous that the cards in your own hand aren't fully on the screen. Even if you only have a couple cards in hand, you can't read them without mousing over. Why? The 4-1 match I lost was really annoying because my opponent played FIVE Fire Elementals. I didn't kill him before 6 so I was so screwed, even though I had quite a good opening hand. Ended up going 8-3 with an extremely close finale where my opponent used Explosive Trap to reverse my game winning attack into a loss as I had 2 HP and no way to burn him to death in my deck. While I'm never dissapointed to go 8-3, I did think this Deck would go slightly further, and it affirms my thought of wanting to try Illidan in Druids. I thought this one could go double digits, though. Because after playing for a month you just need a split second to identify the card by looking at the image. Reading the card text becomes unnecessary. |
