Maybe it's just me, but instead of using up a protective ability on N1 I'd have gone for anything with an investigative utility. Kind of helps to collect intelligence before busting out the abilities which can save a town in the end-game.

Up until a few hours ago I was feeling pretty good about myself for it. And everyone who's tried to throw suspicion on Ichabod today has gotten scum scum points from me. It's impossible to say for sure, of course, but I certainly wouldn't use it before I had almost any knowledge about anything. I'd self-target if I thought I was likely to die on a certain night, like if I had managed to clear myself in some spectacular way, perhaps by seer-scanning or vig-popping scum. Otherwise I'd hold onto it in case someone else was in a similar situation or I needed it for the end-game. You had no reason to think you would be targeted N1 and I can't believe you honestly think you're extremely likely to hang today- heck, you could just role reveal in that case, and then try to prove your role with a scan or something similar N2.
