[SPOILERS] Lewger goes for the Bigwyn

if he got the wheel 2 turns ago then I am not at all worried about losing the workers. Don't forget, he can't build chariots right away - he would have to connect the horses. 2 of his workers were on the rice then away from the capital, and he must be light on workers to have some many settlers popped out.

and thats assuming he has horses. its just as likely he has copper in his BFC and needed to connect it - it'll be a lot longer before a spear can reach us smile.

The horse could be on a river, but I'd assume he was bee-lining the iron for a reason...

And Waterbat - good catch on the BW warrior. I think he has at most 5 warriors in that case.

logged in just to look around and get demos (can't really move anything important until after azza anyway).

lewwyn, I stopped action for the worker chopping forest near gilgamesh, but didn't do anything else with him, so you can continue the chop. but why is he chopping? he'll finish the same turn the chariot finishes anyway, which seems suboptimal - and I don't think we want to delay the chariot a turn put the chop into a settler? maybe put a road there so you can come back to it later? I dunno.

also, this is fun: you know that forest we chopped into the Odyssey to build the granary? Well, it rebuilt itself, hah. so there's a free 20 hammers, nice smile.

gnp improved slightly thanks to Odyssey regrowing onto the Oasis.
also from the solider counts we can guess we are ahead of azza in power now, although the graphs don't show it, being 2 turns behind.

Azza played the turn is 6 minutes. I'm pleased with that. Either he was expecting us to attack, or he's frustrated and there's not much he can do. An opponent that has given up is the best opponent.

We moved the workers out of dodge and Greater Ajax razed Birds of Tokyo. Still no signs of any other units from Azza. It always makes me feel like its quiet, too quiet. rolleye Paranoid me.

Bigger with pictures and more in a bit.

at a certain point the damage he can do gets more and more minimal. worse a spear appears out of nowhere and we lose the warrior and/or chariot, so what :P. lets see what we can get from the war while we have the advantage. PUUUSH! smile

everything important can be shown in this picture:

Greater Ajax (to the south) razed birds of Tokyo, then pillage the ruins (because we are retarded and thought we would get pillage gold - no dice). He is at 2.1/4.0. After the promo I think it will take 2 turns to heal? Which we should do while we are still in neutral territory. Lesser Ajax (spawned this turn from theOdyssey) is 1N and will join Achilleus (the southern warrior) to harass Azza in his territory. I think Achilleus should move S, S and take its chances - it can reach the forest tile bordering azza's capital in 2 turns, same turn as Lesser Ajax. We need to get vision on the city spot asap - if its nothing but warriors we can entertain capturing it - if there are spears or horses we will have some fun pillaging the countryside.
Either of the 2 desert spots north of where birds of tokyo was will make a nice replant. Probably the eastern desert tile, since it can share the wine.

Nestor (chariot 1 NW of theOdyssey) will break west and head towards Billy Talent, hopefully before it can get a second warrior built. It can strike in 3 turns. Maybe Gilgamesh should move 1SE to the PFH, and then wait in place 1 turn - just in case the chariot loses, the warrior can be there to clean up and ensure the city is razed.

Briseis and Chryseis escaped without being recaptured, and are safely away from azza's clutches. I think they should begin roading towards azza's capital to get the new chariots coming from Gilgamesh and theOdyssey in position ASAP. Ishtar (on the hill there) should start a mine. Thoughts?

So I haven't been paying attention to civs stats.. are we the first to capture/raze a city? smile.

some other interesting stuff. GNP graph:
large spike by us and drop by azza happenned 2 turns ago. we are #1 by a healthy margin (56, #2 is 52). I don't know how much of that is culture, but we're also researching a tech with no known-tech bonuses also, so I think its impressive.

Our capital is locked into the #2 spot, but only because the #1 is size 7 (unknown civ), I think we can steal that as soon as we can secure another happy.

Question: our scout, Odysseus, will be at 1.0/1 health at the end of the turn (i.e. he's a .9 health now and needs 2 turns to fully heal). Is there any functional difference between 1.0/1 health and 1/1 health? will he have better odds vs barbs if we heal him the extra turn?

Also, I have a confession. I'm having way too much fun with this naming scheme. I've named every worker and military unit we've produced, and haven't even scratched the surface (with the exception of Gilgamesh and Ishtar, they've all been from the Iliad, and there are twice as many more I can do from that book alone, just counting the humans. I'll probably name some copper units after the gods smile ).

Yes. 1.0/1 means he has between 95 and 99 hit points, and will benefit from healing.
I have to run.

so this is one flaw with the no double moves rule :/.

What happens if azza doesnt play his turn? we're waiting on us, him, and cfc atm. we basically have to pause the turn and announce to the whole world that we're waiting on him (and hence, at war with him). oh well, I guess if they are paying attention to civ stats they'd realize it anyway.
