Astronaut without sin confounds press, invites trio to control civilization

It's an option. If we get 4 GScis during the golden age, we'll probably research Aestethics so we can bulb Machinery, Optics, Astronomy.

Well we're putting 2 culture per turn into that tile, and when we reach 50 culture that will increase to 22 culture per turn.

On the other hand, Thessalonica is putting approximately 42 culture per turn into it already. lol

If something were to "happen to" Thessalonica though, the iron tile would be ours until Constantinople reached 2500 culture. (Unless Yuri refounded, say, 1 north of the iron.)

Cheers for the F1 screen. I see you're building a squadron of galleys. Is that for greater flexibility or are you pre-building galleons?
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Incidentally we're now fulfilling two thirds of the promise of our mysterious thread title (pacifism into astronomy). I'm not sure whether the last part means we should go for an early printing press or a late one.

Obviously, this is all a complete coincidence.

They're prebuilds. Also I imagine we'll sneak in forge builds in some (all?) of those cities.

I think the confounds press part means we're ignoring the Education->Printing Press line.

Also, if you take the first letter of every post by SevenSpirits in this thread, it will spell out "Commodore the bastard gave Luddicator an overpowered jungle spot that forced Mackoti to steal our iron!". (You might have to do some intermediate cryptographic operations though.)

By the way, I just remembered the (very minor) reason I'd like to build the work boat in Europa on t75 and not on t74. The gold city founded on t74 will want to work an artist to pop borders, so Europa will work the gold t74. On t75 the new city works the gold, and Europa can grow a bit more while building the work boat than it could have done building it on t74.

We founded our fifteenth city, which immediately expanded its borders and got a free hinduism spread. Titan produced a great scientist at 89% odds. We discovered Metal Casting and will start some forges next turn.

Mackoti is giving marble to Luddicator for open borders. Yuri and Mackoti have discovered Calendar in addition to Sian, so that'll give us a 15% bonus on our beakers into calendar next turn. Nice.

Micro note for next turn. Europa produces 29 hpt and needs 36 more foodhammers on the settler. That should let it build a workboat next turn and overflow to a 1-turn settler. We need at least 7 hammers overflow from the work boat though, so it should not work the oasis, but it can work a coast instead of the gold (which will be worked by Dione).
