Finally finished religious law:
3t without rushing. The 48h needs multiplying up for the HE and civics yet.

Just took a short peek at the situation from latest save. I've never played Sidar, but seems like he is keeping his empire small i.e. razing everything. He is probably also waining or planning to wane at least some of his level 6 troops. His GNP is much better than yours, but you've lots of potential to improve because of your new aquisitions that are small cities.
I would also build units that could see invisbile units and divided souls (are there any that can see divided souls). I see that you've Hunting, but no hawks. I would recommend building few of those. Maybe more Vicar's also.
Concerning tech path you've plenty of options. I think you should consider to which victory condition you want to fulfill and try to guess what Iskender is planning? e.g. try to figure out ETA for tower victory for him (you're definately further away from it). If it is close full mobilization and focusing on building army might be your best chance. If you think you've still plenty of time then grabbing some economy techs is alright.
I'm also bit worried about your power level that is quite a bit lower than Iskender's.

Yes - Iskender has managed to settle ~20 shades in his capital. Each of them brings in 7gpt. Add in God King (50%), Moneychanger (25%) Bazaar (100%) = lotsa gold of the bat right there.
He has kept his empire small and built up an impressive capital, classic Sidar play. If his capital was gone he would be a lot lot less powerful.

Agreed, I am building a few hawks now and will crank out some hunters too for mopping up his tigers.

Now this I do know. Iskender has said in chat that he isn't interested in pursuing a tower victory. I can't see how it is possible for him to claim an Alter Victory still as he has already generated a few GM's. Not without researching theology and running silly amounts of priests whilst in sacrifice the weak - which is possible I guess.

Yes - this is down to 2 main reasons. Iskender is fielding an army of priests. PoL and Ritualists with Ghosts and Divided Souls. He has a few mages too. Priests are on the power heavy side in the graphs. Not to say that I am still a little way off where I would like to be, just that his power looks slightly more scary than it is. I'd say he has about 25 priests in total based on what I have seen when flying floating eyes etc...
Mardoc came through last turn and sent me Entropy, Body, Nature and Fire mana. Haste could prove to be very very useful and I am reeling off some adepts to take advantage of this. Nature 1 would actually also be very useful if I make inroads into his lands. He has an ancient forest lumbermill heavy landscape.

So, you going to keep me updated on Iskender's progress through your lands?
Or, even better, on how you manage to stop him?

Heh - I'll try! The trouble is that I cannot produce enough troops and now we will be at war in 5t.
It goes back to the age old discussion of the Luchuirp are shit. I am realising that more and more as the game goes on. I cannot upgrade to anything decent, my troops cost a bomb to produce, they are slow and cannot be sped up and my opponent is going to stomp me with 3 move collateral whereas I have 1 move catapults. If i did want to go the mobile root all my horse based units are 1 move slower than everyone elses unless I use expensive religious units. Seriously - it sucks! I can only draft warriors in cities without Empyrean, in which case it is Radiant Guard (not bad). [/rant]
finished Chalid end of turn though.

Question:
The new forest in Iskenders territory is 1 move.
The plains hill forest is 2 move right? Is it 3?
The reason I ask is that I am planning an attack to raze Oop be Gone on the 1st turn of war. I will have a pretty decent number of 3 move units plus a haste adept plus Chalid with Pillar of Fire.
I think I can move from Earthsea to the new forest, then to the plains hill forest and still have enough movement to attack.
I would love to Raze his capital. Even if my back line fell apart!

90% sure it's 3 move cost. But...maybe if Chalid is a dwarf, he'll get a bonus move from the hill? I'm not sure if Heroes/Rathas get the racial promo or not.
Or of course, if you can figure out how to get the Haste adept to that hill before he casts (don't have access to dropbox pictures here, not sure if it's possible), move everyone first, then haste them and they'll be able to attack.

Haste adept can defo make it to the tile, he is mobility and I have engineering. If the tile is 2 move then:
If it is 3 then it ain't happening. No chance of culture shenanigans.

ha - Even if it is 3 move I have a new plan - I have a decent amount of mobility 1 radiant guards that can be upgraded to ratha's.
