Plako would make a very good admin, but he's also connected to our team, so I think us pushing for him might not be the best move on our part. Also, we have a better shot at getting a simpler and more narrow proposal through. I really agree with Kjn here. We do this and it goes wrong we just look like a bully, which I'm sure civFr and CFC would love to use to bring together a coalition against us, especially when we begin gorging ourselves on German cities.
The only way we can do this is if we find other teams that are bothered enough to start talking on the forum about it, and right now we're the only team that cares.

I think a quorum is building for a slow push to replace the game admin. Maybe a good start is to float the idea of getting a more engaged admin, call for other teams reactions and possible nominees. We then put forward plako after a goodly number of other teams have commented.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Well, if a team is going to use the excuse of our team making a push to replace the obviouslly not commited admin as a reason for a dogpile in-game, this team will dogpile us without any reason whatsoever or based on whatever other flimsy reason. So, it doesn't matter if we say something or not, in my opinion. It's not like the other teams need a reason other than "they are going to win the game if we don't attack" to make a dogpile.

Well, RB does have a reputation of arrogance in Civ circles, and part of it is deservedly so. But we have other parts as well, as shown in some of our SGs or turn reports. And I really want to end this game with us being declared as a nice, gracious, and deserved winner instead of a bullying and power-gaming winner.
Ie, we want to win like Lewwyn et al in PB6, not like Lord Pardin in PB7.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

Can we just ensure that the game continues reasonably instead of dragging into the meta-political stuff right now?
I don't think the other teams care that much and won't care who the admin is until they have to ask them about reloading and probably still won't care that much if they get a reasonable and fair hearing..

At that point, it is too late. You have to have someone credibly installed to make decisions before the shit hits the fan.

Well, I'm advocating that we install Plako and not care about what we think the other teams are thinking.

That's exactly the power play we want to avoid.

How about asking r_rolo to find a replacement for himself?
