Whoops missed Nxd5 was also check.

Kc4 then, Ne5 answeed by Kd5, Kc6 by Kd4 and the black king cant maintain opposition

After Kd5, Ng6 and White cannot stop block from taking out the white pawn.

Hm, so Kc4 would have been my idea as well, but since that isn't correct the only king move that doesn't allow a quick knight check is either 1.Ka3 or 1.Kc3. But usually these endgame problems only have one solution, so which of the two is it? crazyeye

What makes you so sure that you cannot move the knight? I'll give you the solution if you want... If you cannot solve this problem no-one can here.

Okay, you cannot move the knight because of ...Nf6

As i can see there is two plausible ways ... either get white king up and defend against Nf6, or move your king waiting on Black moving his king to a spot where White can have a Knight check on either c7, d6, d5 or e4 ... the latter two which forces Black off f6 with his knight WITHOUT giving a check on white king ...

How to do it on the other hand ... no clue
