Admittedly I suck at Warlock. But is Voodoo Doctor even that bad in a warlock arena deck? It's a little bit like a slightly more flexible 3 mana loot hoarder.

I'm getting better at rogue. I like to play hunters but it seems the only way to do well is to get a deck that can abuse beasts and Unleash the Hounds. I had a 10 win deck that could start with T2: Snake Trap. Then T3: Starving Buzzard, Coin, Unleash the Hounds. This combo always got me tons of cards.

I try to never play Mage, Paladin, Druid, Shaman since I like the underdog might classes.

Voodo Doctor is very bad because it dies so easily. It is basically "1 mana: Heal 2 damage", which is pretty weak for a card. And if you play it T1 then you can get 2-for-1'd with a 2/3 or will just get pinged by a good deal of classes. It's definitely got increased value in a Warlock deck, means you should pick it over most bad cards, but it is still pretty bad.

Yeah - Voodoo Doctor is pretty bad because it dies too easily but it's not as terrible midgame where it has similar (but slightly worse) value as an Abusive Sergeant. Like most heals in the game, it's typically a mistake to heal yourself when you can heal a minion. Voodoo Doctor vs Goldsmith vs Wisp is a no-brainer for the Voodoo Doctor imo.

Yeah, it's a no brainer. It's just you'd rather have none of those.

Really? I'd take the goldsmith over anything.

Always fun trying out a new card.

9-3. This run's early game was pretty weak and the late game was meh. But the strength is that hilarious strong 4 mana part: the entirity of it is full of good cards and I got to finish many a game with Leeroy. (One time I used it, Blessing of Kings and two Bananas to finish an enemy off)

Biggest sadness was Dalaran Mage (Other cards were Stonetusk Boar and Shieldbearer: I went with the Mage because it can at least on rare ocassions help a Hammer of Wrath or work against other Paladins)

I think the 3-slot is what really fucks that deck over. You have pretty decent 2s, but as Paladin not a great way to protect Demo, and Flesheating is really hit-or-miss unless you have early taunts/1-2s out the ass. You pretty much have one stand-alone card for the slot that you can actually play on 3. I guess Argent Protector can sub in for a 3..but mana efficiency is like some autismal peeve for me.

I killed a Ragnaros with a BGH in Arena some time ago. The following turn, the guy finished my 7 HP hero with Leeroy Jenkins + dagger (it was a rogue). Constructed decks in Arena for the lose. frown

Went 9-3 with this deck: http://www.arenavalue.com/s/Fqluew (shaman 1-1)

Was a typical arena deck, a bit of this and a bit of that, lacking card draw and fire elementals...but had that little extra. Little Deathwing.
About deathwing in the arena, Trump (and therefore arenavalue) rates this as average legendary, and would have picked Baron Geddon and Illidan over it.

I was thinking about Illidan, but I'll certainly disagree about Baron Geddon. (I went with deathwing because I've never had him before and wanted to take him for a spin). In a deck like mine he was top pick - and saved my bacon at least 2 times, probably 1 more and perhaps 1 last time. One time when I played him he failed to win the game for me - opponent had the cards to deal with him. I was out of cards and fresh out of board control, so I was certainly going to lose anyway.

So yay deathwing. Payback for those 2-3 times I've had a good board suddenly wiped by you under opponent control.

Rewards for the 9-3 were good - 295 gold to go with my pack, must have been close to maximum gold from 9 wins.

Sitting at 1685 gold now (but I'm not playing arena nonstop, usually a run a day on average, so daily quest gold helping out.)

Molach is rich!! eek

bow

I don't even have 500 gold.

Regarding Deathwing, I agree. And may I add that Illidan is pretty lackluster, in my opinion. A lot of times the opponent can handle him fast enough that you can't use his ability (5 health is not that much) - it's rare that you can play him + 1/2 cards in the same turn in a way that is viable.
