Thanks for the tip. I tried this out, but the Aggressive AI and Spacerace-only settings are hard-patched.

Are you sure? I just tried editing a game with the same settings and I was able to remove the Aggressive AI.

If we end up on Monarch, then I think we can bring you in. I don't see a big problem with one 'extra' player. We're still waiting for votes from Kodii, ungy and pindicator.

Can you tell me how you did it, as I'm too rubbish to work it out!

Well, nobody on our team will be able to edit the save (unless someone is able to do it with their eyes closed). Somebody has to open the WorldBuilder, then save it. To edit it, I opened the WBSave with Notepad and deleted the line that said Option=GAMEOPTION_AGGRESSIVE_AI or something like that. I then opened up the game and voila, it was gone.

Cheers. But I worked out what I was doing wrong within BTS. I needed to choose custom scenario, and not play scenario (as I'd done with the test file for SGOTM5), in order to change the settings so that Aggressive AI is off, and all victory conditions are enabled. D'oh.

Right, so we're finally where we want to be.

Now as to the thread name: I think that doubling Beyond is a bit silly, so I plan to open at CFC as RBTS1b. Objections in writing within the hour, please!

I think RBTS1b is perfectly fine. Why are we enabling all victory conditions?

Of course I'll defer to the majority, but I prefer RBts1b as the name, and the game as similar to the "A" game as possible except for Aggressive AI and the Spy Bomb.

Hmm...I just tried to change the thread name and couldn't find a way to do it. Unfortunately I think I set a precedent without enough community feedback .

Are you guys going to leave tech trading enabled?

Edit: I could probably ask a moderator to change the thread name, if we want RBts1a/RBts1b. I have to admit, it does look better than all caps.

For some reason, I feel that RBts has too many lowercase letters.

The succession games for Play the World were dubbed RBP, so if we were to follow precedent, the BtS games would probably be called RBB.

If anything, I think RBtS is the best. Not all capital letters and not too many lowercase either.
