Circling the capitol is the most reasonable move. So far we haven't seen any particularly great sites for city #2. What are you up to Sullla?
It might make most sense to start circling south if we don't want to 1W onto the other hill. The frost on the N trees as was pointed out seems ominous. However it has more hills so it may make it easy to look around. Our borders will grab the hills to scout some of hte N right?

Yes, we'll be able to see off the 3 hills N of the jungle silver. Morgan's team also has a water tile in their immediate area (average 8875 implies 2 civs have 8 land tiles, and until Morgan settled that was only 1). There are 4047 land tiles (mouse over our score, and it tells you "Land (0/4047)").
I still don't get how it breaks ties.

How is crop yield calculated? It looks like someone isn't using their food.

Crop yield is straight "amount of food being worked". With a minimum of 2, that person is almost certainly working a forested plains hill (and as an EXP leader, would see the 4 in MFG give them an extra hammer on their worker). Note: MFG includes the bonuses of forges and factories, but nothing that's situational (OR, doubling resources, doubling leader traits). I don't know whether or not Bureaucracy is included in MFG (I think so).

OK, Elizabeth of France settled on T2. Who were the civs who settled on T1?
France could have moved up to 5 tiles in one direction. If our "15x15" first estimation is correct, that could be 1/3 of the distance between him and the neighbor in whatever direction he moved. Sure hope he is not one of our neighbors....
Good, we have the exact land tile count from the score. Thought I recalled that being there.
We have not seen anything attractive yet for a second site, but we have not explored very much yet. And some of what we see would be perfectly good if there is some food out in the fog. Our border pop should give us more info to the north from the hills, and also the south -- I think we get visibility off the peak tile which is at least as good as a hill and maybe better.
For our warrior next turn, I like either west to the next hill (should reveal to the NW) or SW into the forest (to view further south). Then circling back to the south of the capital.

On T1:
Mr. Nice Guy + Shoot The Moon (Pacal of Carthage)
Dantski + Mukha (Willem of Portugal)
Kyan + Twinkletoes89 + Whosit (Pericles of Bayblon)
Sockboy + Ad hoc + WarriorKnight + Pegasus (Zara Yaqob of Ottomans)
I'll e-mail the latest demogs after the SOTU speech. Do either of you two have server space so I can post the .xls file online? I don't want to use a google doc, because formatting will get shot to hell. Let's go W this turn (note the peaks in the fog 3S and 3S1E of our current warrior's position), and then decide whether or not we want W or SW the turn after. I think we want to go well clear of the peaks (like 2W or 3W).

What type of hosting are you talking about? You want to edit a XLS online?
Quote:Yes. Flat tiles have a line of sight of 1. A hill has a line of sight of 2. A peak (really awesome on the edge of your land) has a line of sight of 3.

Yeah, editing it online would be nice. Or, more precisely, being able to reupload the same file, so I don't have to send it every time changes are made (and it'd be easier for you two to make changes if you catch something).
Re: LOS: Not quite true. Peaks see 2 squares, regardless of what's intervening. Fastmoves: Role of Vision. Still, they're awesome to have for visibility purposes.

Things to do this turn (T3):
Move warrior (Was W the consensus? That sounds good to me).
Switch to working forested plains hill. I think we really need the 2H overflow that switching now gives us on our following warrior.
Grab demogs to see the new land situation (Team SSS, Kublai Khan of Rome, is the only team to have their borders expand this turn. All the other creative civs spent a turn moving).
I think that's everything.
I'll be able to play this evening, if no one else can before then.

West is fine with me.

Agree we should switch to the forested plains hill. Our EXP bonus gives us a bonus hammer, let's take advantage of it. We lose 1C per turn which will delay Agri by 1 turn (from T10 to T11), but we need the worker soonest and the overflow to the next build will be useful.
I will try to figure this into my attempt at a dev plan; it should give us 2 turns between finishing a grass hill mine and starting to pasture the sheep, so maybe we can actually do something useful there.

I think that's everything.
And grab a screenshot of what is revealed by our expanded borders and warrior move. Hopefully we see some more food somewhere nearby.

I will be busy in meetings most of the day, no chance at Civ until this evening. Maybe antisocialmunky can play the turn earlier? Not sure of his schedule.
