Now, all of my other family members' named players have been lost to the e-dustbin of history, but the odd thing about Mr. Regoarrarr is that, due to some crazy glitch in the software, he almost always got a hit. No matter what kind of pitch you threw on him, about 60-70% of the time he would ground a single between 3rd base and short. He became a mythical figure.

As I got older, my friends and I incorporated the regoarrarr name into our daily life - we used it to mean just about anything - it was one of those silly things that teenagers do. We expanded upon it, including such things as reg-oh-ar-ar being spelled regoarrarrr (3 r's) etc. etc. It was just one of those inside jokes that my group of friends did that nobody else understood
So anyway, like I said, the story itself is really not that interesting but I use it for my username in most places, since, as you might imagine, it's available in most places (useful since my first and last name are both pretty common).

The other thing I usually say is about "anything with 5 R's being pronounced 'keek' " - that became a family joke because near where I grew up is a park that is called Surrarrer Park. I even hid a geocache there
11? Do I hear 11? Anyone?
Unfortunately this forum has the default 30 seconds between posts - I think the Civ forums have dropped that down to 10. As you might imagine, I run into that throttler fairly often ![]()
This story is our best selling point for getting more new members. I've gotta say it's going to be easier reading regoarrarr's posts now that I know it's pronounced "keek"
