It's already over, there were 200 barb units on the map that killed everyone.

Pirates took Mansa Musa. I would seriously consider Liz or Darius. Especially with Liz we could be bulbing in Astro/chemistry line to keep our shores safe from Vikings and settle the far away islands or if more feasible bulb in liberalism line + printing press.

I suggest creating a final poll using Borda count method that I think could work pretty well here when most of us probably have preference order instead of 1 absolute favorite. One can vote as many leaders as they want and give them preference order. 1st one gets 1 point 2nd 1/2 points, 3rd 1/3... You're free to vote only one leader or 20.

So here is my current preference list (might get changed wink):
1. Elizabeth
2. Victoria
3. Sury
4. Bismarck
5. Darius

I suggest we count the votes after 12h and if winner is clear we announce it otherwise we wait 24h and close the votes at the latest then (i.e. 12h and 24h from the time of this post).

Just FYI, I don't intend to vote because I don't think my uninformed opinion should count for much. I don't mind asking stupid questions to encourage lateral thinking, though. smile
If you know what I mean.

I have a soft spot for Liz since she is my favourite SP leader, if the "MP conventional wisdom" is that she isn't that good I don't mind trying to prove it wrong. (I have no idea how good racing liberalism/unis which is a typical SP Phi strategy works out in this sort of game for example.)

The bruteforce REX approach of Sury is tempting though, if we're convinced that we can match Fin tech rate. I feel that with elephants in play it's important not to end up lagging behind in tech. I guess I'd feel more comfortable if we had a better idea how things would compare at t100

IMO sims to t30 are good for comparing micro plans, but terrible for comparing large scale decisions like leader picks/overall strategy
