hmm, since we met their warrior and not their scout, I'd say its a safe bet their capital is close by. Which means they have an edge on us for all that juicy grassland, especially what/ivory/sugar site

Their capital is 4S2E of the scout, their culture is in the screenshot smile

Hmm, not mirrored starts but we have ivory/wheat locations at similar distnce. I bet our warrior finds a fur up there too.

We should start bringing the warrior home in a couple turns.

yes, duh, I missed that. well hopefully they haven't scouted to their NW yet, or have decent territory to their east they'd rather expand into.

Definately need to bring the warrior home. Suggest Se Sw Sw Sw for the warrior.
Doesnt look like they have explored west of their capital, so they may not know the good terrain that lies there. If we settle close to their capital (maybe near the sugar on the hills area), we could block off some of that land for future use and make it a defensive stronghold.

True, but we also don't want to provoke them into an early war, especially one that's so much closer to their capital than to ours.

I think we should just focus on getting those rivers under our control, and let them have them the sugar/ivory/wheat to pacify them. We can try to arrange it so that they have a much wider front to defend than us. One city on the hill 2E of the corn seems like it would secure the front for us nicely.

Thats actually a good site. And not too close to their captial as well (equidistant from our capital and theirs). We could look at this being our second city?

is it me, or is that 2e of the corn spot 9 tiles from our cap? how could that work as a second city? (although recently i settled 7tiles from my cap and got some flak over it)

As a second city? When we have grassland deer and riverside next to us? Definitely *NOT* worth it.

Yeah definitely not as a second city. Even for our third it's a stretch.

Unless maybe kp was counting the capital as city 0?
