[SPOILERS] Toute ma vie, je me suis fait une certaine idée de la Corée

It looks as though Barry has suffered a second major attack, so I am going to send in a galley full of axemen to have a look around. DOW next turn and land the turn after that. But I shan't take risks. I've just discovered that the Holy Roman Empire is right next to me.

Too late cry

Sadly Pindicator got there fist, and has an army that I dare not go up against. Any gain I made would be taken from me like candy from a six year old. On the plus side, though, I got one of Barry's workers. Huzzah! I'll see if I can also get some wonga from burning stuff down.

does wonga = $$
or wonga = Pindicator anger for burning improvements he fought to annex?

The former, I hope. But possibly both.

I feel that I should be observing turn order with Pindicator since I am right up in his face and we're competing for the wreckage of Barry Lyndon. I went after him last turn. But he hasn't gone yet, there are three hours left on the clock, and I'm going to bed. Of course, he had to wait for Barry Lyndon to take his turn. I wonder how long these chains are going to get as the game progresses...

MYKI, if you want to leave instructions, I can play your turn once Pindicator plays.

Okay, will take my best guess to keep this game moving.

Turn 82

Finished a build in Or. Selected a Library next since the city has a Gold resource and needs a border expansion. Not sure where you wanted to send the Settler, I moved him NW since that seems the most obvious route.

Hard to guess what you wanted to do with the Axes, but you mentioned about pillaging resources and also staying clear of Pindicator. Thought the Horse pasture/road to the NE was a good compromise. (Loaded the Worker onto the Galley to take back to your lands.)

Hope I didn't mess anything up too much. smile

Lord Parkin thank you - you played the turn better than I would have done.

Again, I'm stuck behind the Barry Lyndon Pindicator train. I've taken a judgment call, though, since I'm not actually at war and the action is so far from my homeland - I've taken my turn except for the one axeman that Pindicator could possibly want to take a dab at (roughly even odds and no point, but I can't discount the chance). I want him to move NW, with the aim of exploring and possibly taking out the barbarian warrior for experience while he's waiting for his transport. Four hours left on the clock, and I might be out later. If the axeman ends up not moving, it's not the end of the world.

A proper post is going to happen soon, I promise. Recent highlights include my exploring chariot getting taken for a threat by WilliamLP and getting killed, a couple more cities, and the discovery that I am now next to Zanth. In AlaePB1 I was next to Zanth and he came out the better. The game before (my first PB), I was also next to Zanth but came out ahead. This is something of a grudge match. But I suspect Zanth vs WilliamLP is going to happen before either goes for me.
