Turn 5
Finished exploring the peninsula to the west. Will probably head south next. Seven and Gawdzak finished techs.
Turn 6
Should have mentioned the border expansion at the capital last turn revealed another Clam. Someone's already at 9 food with a size 1 capital! Holy heck, that means a 7 food tile... has to be an Agricultural civ. Too early for a worker improvement though... and no normal seafood would work... so must be a freshwater lake Fish? (Seen those crop up in Torusland maps I've generated.) Ugh, that's miles better than double AH resources. If we'd had a freshwater Fish instead of that Pig, we'd be off to a much faster start (especially as PRO). Agricultural leaders are Kuro, Gawdzak and Haram. Of those only Gawdzak chose a Fishing civ. It's probably him. EDIT: It can't be Haram, since he hasn't yet finished a tech. And it can't be Kuro, since he only finished his first tech this turn and hasn't yet logged in. So, Gawdzak has the freshwater lake Fish at his capital. Lucky him. (May 4th, 2014, 17:23)nabaxo Wrote: What sorcery is this "Torusland"? Map script by SevenSpirits. Pretty generous on food (most cities get 2+ food resources), generally with a "large lakes" feel, somewhat balanced starts, and toroidal wrap. Turn 8
Buddhism founded. Only two players got score increases - HAK and slowcheetah. Of those only HAK started with Mysticism, so it must have been him that founded it. Not sure that was the best idea right out of the gate. In local news, our Scout uncovered a Sheep down south which makes our potential city location a whole lot better. |
