I've mainly pushing enter throughtout the last 30 turns or so. Few turns ago Nyles attacked Elkad that seems like a big mistake in retrospect. The power dip above wasn't caused by me. However this turn I did my share of decreasing his power level. One could call this revenge, but I'm really not that vengeaful. Just using the opening given to me.

This turn was a big success. Captured the city and luck was in my side so I lost only 6 cats and few other units. Also started golden age and did some civic switches.

I wouldn't call you vengeful... just very, very patient. Which is way more scary, IMHO... scared

There was a big battles this turn and killed pretty much all of the Nyles remaining troops. Also pillaged roads towards REM so that he hopefully can't take advantage of my weakened troops. REM's Knights disappeared from the border city so I guess he either wants to take a shot at the last Nyles city or has use for them in other borders.

Thanks for the update. To his credit it seems like Nyles gave you a good fight, despite his situation with Elkad at the start of the war(s). Can you summarize the war? Future plans?

Nyles gave a pretty good fight. He could have done better, but he did above average. I appreciate the fact he didn't pillage his land.

War took too long. I lost my collateral in the early fights. In later phases the amount of collateral I was able to build in the close by cities dictated the progress. Managed to snap couple of cities a bit early in the north with a small stack of Knights that helped a little.

I'll try to focus on economy next. Yuris would be decent target of aggression, but I'm really not in the position now to do anything unless someone else occupies his attention. There are way too many things that can go wrong now. I'm backwards and land border with the #1 civ (REM) now and opportunistic Gavagai behind the sea. If I overextend myself it won't end well. Actually I might have already made that mistake.

Some screenshots. Yuri is down to 1 city. I've enough to take it, but had to proceed with caution since Borsche has his forces in the area too. I'll probably wait until my aquisitions are out of revolt before proceeding. Borche's troops are basically only Knights so taking Yuri's last city would be rather costly for him.

Naturally this is just irrelevant skirmish between lesser nations. REM is settling islands in the north. There seems to be lots of unsettled land still there. Donovan attacked taotao that might force this game for REM. dtay and Gavagai are other main contenders.

btw. Nyles got a relly short straw in land lottery.

Finally got to Rifling to remember that Drafting Rifles cost 2pop lol. Oh well I need draft to not look too appealing target for my big neighbors. Borsche has retreated from the Yuri cities so Yuri has soon 3 cities. Meanwhile he has upgraded all his Knights to Cavs. He is fast playing turns so not sure, if he wants to cause harm to me or just be prepared for invasion from big players of our continent.

I'm probably 5th place now, but hopelessly behind the players above me. REM would easily take my land, but taotao probably keeps him honest with huge army.

Not a fan of this map concepts. Too much land overseas that I had no chance to gain (partly because of bad play but also bad luck). After being left behind it is even more hopeless than usually, when big nations have settled lots of land after astronomy. Also the changes in the civics e.g. super civic combo Mercantilism+Representation there, but it requires otherwise expensive detour to Liberalism that I haven't been able to do.
