Now THIS is actually a city founded on my mainland. I suspected it a while, but evidence now.
I just whipped like 5 forges in my cities. Hopefully Zanthagai will think "Molach saw the city and is whipping an army to take it" and react accordingly. Neither of us has a big army, Zanthagai is slightly ahead on soldier graph, and I'm number 5. 2metraninja has double either of us.
However I am not in a hurry to take this city. He can clear some jungle around it. Maybe build some infrastructure. I've just whipped forges, Ill grow my cities now (+3 happy yay), slowbuild barracks, some slowmovers and in about 10 turns I think I'll have my 3 army pump cities churning out stabled keshiks.
I'll grab anaesthetic in 3 turns, and see if I can grab some wonders. I also kind of want at least caste system, but preferable bureau for my upcoming golden age. (Gspy is waiting). And of course whoreback riding for those Gers.

Anaesthetics and whoreback riding make it sound like this game is going in a very different direction indeed.

I must be at war by turn 100.
I must, obviously, be successful in said war.
If I come to turn 80 and find myself building economy, I must turn the other cheek and prepare for war.
Really, I must.
No exceptions.

I shall strike fast, strike true, strike deep - strike home.
So help me RNG.

Ugh.
So true.
I'll grab CoL next turn, which is a semi-military tech because of spy visibility. I really want to grab Civil Service with the help of a golden age, revolt and such. After that, I swear, archery, horseback riding and mass keshiks. I've got some
Gavazanth is starting to look like a runaway, he has pyramids and recently got Glib.
I got parthenon and whipped SoZ this turn, so I've got my share of (useless) wonders for now.
I'm scouting Zanthland now, and he will be my target. Settling on my island, not cool. Also him winning the game being reason to attack.

I grabbed CoL. I guess. Long time ago.
Also a lot of other techs.
I chickened out on attack, I'm peacefully building myself to death via Zanth gradually working his land into an unstoppable force. Haven't even taken the offending island city...he suddenly had 30 units in it. A lot of knights. So he will attack soon, and I am actually not ready for that. He is building east indiamen all around, I've got triremes and 20 turns to go till I can draft rifles. (Got replacement parts this next turn, need gunpowder then rifling. Also need pacifism + nationhood for drafts - 20 turns)-
Items of note: Unlocked heroic epic without any fighting. Barracks + ger + vassalage + theocracy got me the exp.
Have research visibility on Zanth, so I stole GMerc from economics by a turn or two. Also 'stole' cristianity by a turn, even if the founding was not really needed as we both have another religion well spread. I wanted it for apo palace to go with my sankore uni. Should probably just go for divine right, maybe I'll be first on RB (stupid enough) to build the trifecta of religious wonders.
So yeah. Been playing casually, zanth is playing well and strongly leading. Wannabe is doing what I'm doing and we're very closely matched. Others are either warring or dead. Or something in between.
I see me getting invaded in 3-4 turns, losing 3-4-5 cities and then soon concession to Zanth. Perhaps -he'd need to raze some wannabe cities too. It would be the quickest way to end this, I'm thinking.
If not, I'll get to rifles and draft and galleons, draft an army strong enough to storm the heavens, and see if any would follow my religious crusade against the leader.

LURKERS!!?!
There seems to be problems with the turnplaying here.
Gavagai has a pretty clear lead, I don't really have a good plan to take him out. I would need Wannabe as a staunt ally, or at least depend on him to follow up and strike down the leader if I try something.
If Wannabe is checked out of the game - and is just waiting on "Molach to realize game's over" then I'll gratiously accept 2nd place in this game and end it.
I am at tech parity with gavagai, I will give him a run for late-game wonders and first-to bonuses, but if the rest are checked out I'll step down to.

What do you want the lurkers to say?

Just askin' whether all other players are ready to end game. If so - sure.
Depends a fair bit on wannabe though, and he does not seem to post. So. Yeah. I don't know.
I think there are a lot more turns left in this game, and there are a few ways this late game might pan out - but if there is low interest in continuing I'll step down.

I don't think there's a lot we can do. Alhazard and Greywolf update their threads regularly but all the others stopped reporting long ago. So we really don't know what their state of mind is...
