EitB v12 Mastery PBEM?

Actually, your previous arguments had persuaded me that the single-religion variation would be an interesting game. I guess I didn't explicitly change my vote then, but consider it changed now.

Also, what Bob said earlier about this game being your vision, yada yada yada.

We also eventually need to confirm play windows and order....

(I'm going to guess Tasunke-me-Bob-Qgqqqqq, but have no idea where Marcus sits in that chain)

We have a consensus for the one-religion snakepick or whatever, and I'm pretty sure a consensus for no bans and the ability to start as Mercurians or Infernals, so can we start picking stuff now? :P

having 3 priests (or 3 disciples) doesn't negate the Holy City snakepick. There should be no reason (imho) to force only one religion per player, while expecting to have access to more than three religions does seem a bit of a stretch (giving spiritual players too much access).

I am fine with disciples instead of priests, to be honest, especially as I believe this was the original suggestion. Priests just make things a bit more 'definite' as they say. I'm not oppposed to allowing people to pick a Nightwatch as one of their three, regardless of whether the field is disciples or priests.

How should we decide who picks first? Is this a public snake pick?

I think typically the mapmaker rolls an order.

Right. But do you actually have a consensus on settings at this point? I see Tasunke's still got an argument about religion. If someone could turn 'pretty sure there's consensus' into 'final settings are the following:', I'll give you your picking order.

It gets messy when you have people arguing for the settings that help their chosen civ rather than the settings they think are generally fair.

I wouldn't call it an argument really.

Snakepick for 'holycity' is in ...

I think the only point of contention is whether access to other religions should be allowed (most have said yes), and if so, how best to distribute them (Priests or Disciples, whether or not to include Nightwatch, etc)

Since Nightwatch are the lowest tier of Esus spread units, I see no reason to exclude them from the deliberations.
