I think we agreed that the regular units are fine.

Game is live. Khan, tell me if the save doesn't work, it wanted to do something weird with Google Drive.
Please tell me if any of the settings, orders or anything else is wrong, and I should be able to correct it within a few hours. There was no mention of them, so I turned Random Events off. Map is Torusland, Inland Seas. There are 767 land tiles total, or 191 each, with 44% water. Toroidial means that the distances will not be so large as that implies. Strategic resources have been moved, but the baseline was the Critical Resources Close setting, which ensures each player has all strats at least twice as close to them as another player. That should serve as an indication. Tiles that are revealed are all those within 2t of the starting position, and any tile 1 out from that that I think might be immediately relevant in deciding where you settle. This will not be perfectly balanced. There will be asymmetrical advantages for each player - not ones that have been tooled in their favor, but as they have appeared naturally. I have, of course, spent a considerable amount of time adjusting this to leave players in a position where each player should have a fair shot at winning, and no one is screwed before they even begin. I could have done more, but that was not what was asked for or offered. I hope you are happy with the outcome, and that my efforts will only help, and never hinder, your enjoyment of the game. PBEM games with relatively low profile can tend to run into lurker issues, with a dearth of activity. This is normally simply annoying, but can become problematic if drama is involved, or concessions are being offered. If you wish to solicit lurker feedback or decisions on issues that arise in this game, particularly if it can be resolved without being brought into this thread, than you can contact me via pm or at hawk 23 70 [at] gmail. I may not be religiously following the threads, but I can commit to reading up and responding in a speedy manner. Hopefully that will not be necessary, of course.

Thank you very much.
I have received the file "Auto Save Initial Turn", but I cannot work out what to do with it? I have tried to load it as a new PBEM turn but the file does not appear (it is a different file type to my previous games' saves) as an option to load. I have also tried it in new scenario with no success. I am a bit puzzled! Any ideas, please?
I tried changing the file type to .CivBeyondSwordSave which makes it selectable ingame to load but it just causes the game to freeze and crash so that may have been unwise.
Qgqqqqq, I think you need to re-start it and send me a save in the correct format. I cannot work out how to do anything with that one you sent. Thank you.
Should work now?
