this is such a wierd game after pb 27. I feel like I know nothing about my neighbors or the surrounding territory. Mainly because I have a ton of jungle nearby and this land has a lot of snaky continents and, of course, I can't just run around willy-nilly in this mod.

T34, The One With a My Second City
I founded it a couple of turns ago.
I named it Sand Hill. It jumped my GNP by 5, while costing me 1 (city, river sheep, 1 trade routes).
It's currently working the sheep, while the cap builds a 2nd worker. The worker is improving the pig - once that's done, Sand Hill will work the pig and the cap will get the sheep.
I'm trying to figure out where my next city goes - I think it should go north, to the deer, but I want to get pottery first. Really mad at myself for going fishing first now.
It's not all bad - I do have the highest GNP, which is partly from culture, of course and once others get their 2nd cities up (they are coming pretty fast - I think I was 2nd, behind Adrien, who is imp).
I feel pretty good about this game, looking at the map. Silver, fur, whales look like they are in my control, maybe wine, plus sugar, plus some good food.

T34, The One With Copper in a convenient place
I don't know that I could have placed it any better
Oh wait - 2 coppers!! And that's in a great place for a long-term city - actually, that becomes a much more viable short-term city, too - I can plant #3 1S of the copper there if I choose and work the copper while waiting for cultural expansion for the pig. Creative can be very nice... And I can go pottery->AH and not have to worry about when I found city #3 - this being a casual game
I honestly don't think I could be happier with where the copper showed up.
Demos with my new pigs (I finished the pigs in Sand Hill and am now working them)
GNP is down, but food is up. And I'm running 0% right now, so when i go back to 100%, my GNP will go up, too, because I'm doing pottery with all the pre-reqs.
In non-domestic news:
Exploration continues to the East. I didn't grab a screenie, but I'm about to have my first panther-vs-warrior battle in the NW. I am on a hill in jungle, so should survivie easily.
First religion falls
Candidates are:
Jowy
Ichabod
BGN
Yuri.
I think Ichabod started with Mysticism, so I'll guess he got it. Because why not

T35, The One Wiith Pigs
Sure, I got this last turn, but I iddn't show them
Survived my first combat:
Have to keep remembering which mod this is - animals are dangerous in this mod (they are not in the other game I'm playing)
Lotta stone out east.
Demos with research to 100% are pretty strong, I'll say.

Here is my tentative dotmap:
I'm thinking green then red, though I might go red then green. Those are clearly my next 2, though. After that, probably dark blue (in the south) and maybe brown, maybe yellow. Yellow isn't a great city until I get calendar, though. I want to get onto islands, so to get better trade routes, so light green and light blue (in the far lower left) are important too.
Also... the dotmap is filled with coastal cities. All the cities are coastal, in fact. And I have whales in my fat cross.
I think sailing and masonry and a lighthouse attempt are in my future. pottery->AH->sailing->writing, I think.

Turn 51, The One Where AT Realizes He Hasn't Posted For Awhile
Not that a lot is going on. I met my 2nd opponent, Dreylin, who is to my North West (at least, that's where his scout came from. ) Ichaboad is to my north east - I found his borders some time ago.
Still have only the one monster. I'm about to get my 3rd city, which is behind both ichabod and dreylin, but I should get my 4th pretty soon.
Am researching sailing, for a Lighthouse attempt.
Buddhism has still not fallen which is interesting.
Both cities have granaries and I have copper hooked up. Got a cottage down, as well, but still have to grow into it.

Turn 54, The One Where AT Founds His Third City
Three Worlds, which will be have 1 deer to itself and share another - also, has horses and silver. I should be connecting 2 luxes soon (the whales hook up in 3 turns)
Also, my 2nd monster! Durarpror!! Be a while till I get another one.
Cities will build granaries first, then grow into something, then pick up a settler and a worker to fuel expansion.
My next settler will settle to pick up the copper first ring and get the pig 2nd ring. That kind of sucks, but the city is very strong, so it's worth the delay... I hope.
This is kind of funny, down south - I noticed this awhile ago, but haven't been reporting all that well.
The kelpie is, after all, a water horse... I presume that is not improvable - it would be a nice tile if it were...
Things are happening now, so I'll update more often, I expect.

Turn 55, The One Where AT Founds His Fourth City
Yup - city #4 right after city #3 - now we are cooking with gas!!
Basis is the first city that really takes advantage of the creative trait - I founded it without first ring food - well, improvable first ring food. As you can see, it's working the bananas. I'll mine the copper first and build a granary, but it won't start taking off until I get the pigs up, of course. Long term, this is going to a serious production city.
My llitte 4 city empire - I might be the 1st to 4 cities, I'm not sure. I think Nyles might have beaten me - he had 3 whips a couple of turns ago, and then, I think, founded another city.
What we are working on - we only have 2 workers, which is ok for right now, but we need more We need more of everything - I kind of need to get archery, so we have a cheaper altenative for MP builds. that's probably next, after sailing.
Dunno quite yet what the new cities will build after granaries - Three Worlds will grow to size 4, so will probably produce either axes or archers, then settler, then worker, then library. Basis only has 2 resource tiles, so will probably cottage the banana for now and then maybe farm or cottage to be more of a settler/worker pump, since sand hill wants to always work the copper which restricts it's regrowth, so it will whip less.
Rings Group will go WB->lighthouse->Great Lighthouse (so I need masonry in there, as well). The lighthouse will be very nice on this map and I can get Rings Group to size 7 easily - 8, if I reach for the furs. And this will allow me to share sheep and deer to help the other 2 cities.
I had mentioned that I had found Ichabod's land to my NE - soon after that, my scout got killed by a barb. But this is where heis - I'm pretty sure that's his 2nd city, not his cap. I think I came to that conclusion because it looked like an unexpanded culture, but I'm not sure. The Yellow line is a guess as to our borders. Hopefully, there's a decent food in there I can swipe.
Keeping track of his power - unsurprisingly, he's not gearing up for anything
Demos looking ok, not great. Need more cottages, workers, population.

Turn 60, The One Where Buddhism is (finally) researched
Also, I've had some interference in all three of my outlying cities.
I whipped an axe in Sand Hill to take care of a barb who looked like it was going to cut my copper. It suicided on my axe quite nicely, though
Three Worlds had a barb come by and force the worker off the deer, which was a pain cause no roads. I roaded the horse, so it can get to the deer again fast, but what a pain.
Basis had an Ichabod warrior come by and threaten the copper mining worker, so I put a turn into a cottage. He went back to Icahbod land.
Dreylin is stuck being unable to get through my land, so has not met Ichabod yet.
Demos
Dreylin
As you can see, I have sailing and a clear route to dreylin - I presume it one that he uncovered between him and Three Worlds.
I am still the only one in my area with 4 cities. Obviously, I have more resources, as well.
Cities: these screenies are from last turn, but they'll do:
Rings Group can get up to size 7 with silver, so I'll grow it there and build the light house. Maybe a workboat for exploration first.
Sandhill will grow and build another worker and a settler, I think. I want to colonize South and East from here. Might go to the 1 hex island and gain some serious trade routes, but that requires a galley which is basiclaly useless after that, so I'll have to think about it. Maybe I can get some other use for it, I dunno. Naval dominance of a lake!!
I whipped in the granary here turn 60, so will let it grow. I think deer->silver->horse is best and granary->WB->worker->settler seems to make sense. Pop in an archer along the way, I guess. I think moving to fill in the NW peninsula between me and Dreylin is smart - the northern peninsula is mine, anyway.
Basis is slow growing, but I'll get the granary in reasonaby soon, then will have pigs hooked up pretty soon, too. This should allow fairly rapid growth onto cottages. I'm thinking of cottaging the banana for now, until I can get calendar.

At least you don't have to worry about not being able to remove the cottage later!
