Grim Dawn, a Diablo-style Action RPG

Why do I see path of exile posts in the Grim Dawn thread?

@Sirian yes lucius is a tough Nut to crack. Took  me some tries till I got the right mixture of closing in and stepping back /hide  from missiles to down him.
My soldier is now close to 69 and has reached the first necropolis waypoint. Revered (highest possible) with 4 factions only black guards need some work. Which I intend to get now and also get lvl71 before I start the final part.

Because we're rebels!

I got to the warden last night on the second diff. Almost had him down, then made two mistakes in a row on one of my rotations. I could survive one, but not both. I think I'm going to transition to my ray build now, especially since I found my first purple that's good for arcanists, and its a +3 to ray offhand.

Soldier lvl 71 has finally rid the world of elite Loghorrean.

That one took a lot of time but once you know what to avoid and how to fight him he is manageable.

Arcanist is now 70 and on elite. Switched to Aether Ray build (because I got some sexy purples) and loving it. Just finished the big ugly thing that comes out of the barn west of Homestead. Would probably be further along but doing a lot of backtracking for thorough clear, and dicked around with the crucible a bit. Going to Reno this weekend so won't finish elite, but should be done early next week. Have to figure out something about survive-ability though, it's getting a bit touch and go, and I'm sure the third diff will be much worse.

I paused on my Arcanist, just short of finishing Elite diff, to play some of my other characters. Also been playing less, with the newborn around.

My newest character, a Demolitionist who started with nothing but (maxing out) Blackwater Cocktail, has been surprisingly fun to play. Even maxed and with zodiac support, the skill has felt a lot weaker than the arcanist missiles or even some of my other builds, but the fire is sticky where it lands and it pulses a couple more times before going out, so it makes for an interesting set of tactics -- and a safer style (so far) than the more direct styles of the magic missiles, the hunter with pets, or the various melee builds. (Hunter pets are flawed tanks: a lot of mobs end up ignoring them or bolting in past them. Melee builds have more obvious threats to contend with, and even with Flash Freeze support and crazy dps, the missiles just don't handle teleporting and ultra-fast stuff very well.) Most of the Cocktail damage is DoT rather than direct, so the skill may be stronger than I am crediting it, but you have to avoid attacks from the soon-to-be-dead that direct-damage-dealers do not have to bother avoiding.

My soldier has now rid the world of ultimate Gutworm. The difference between going at him at lvl 74 to lvl 75 was significant (he was lvl 81 both times).

Before I will go deeper into the wardens cellar I will do some elite Bastion/Stair runs to gain 2 more lvls.

Alternatly I have running my Pyromancer a bit and she is a lot of fun with a raven a Dog and 2 guns. Sadly Bolla the Raven killed me twice ending any dreams of running Veteran without death (still the only death so far).

My Warder (2H Sham/Sold) has been a lot of fun and she's lvl 42 now, but nowhere close to running Vet without deaths. (I think she's over fifteen by now. Raven got her once just on a quick run in for bounty and dynamite.)

I don't remember whether my Nightblade has died, but she's still quite young.

The pet-only toon and the cocktail thrower have NOT died to lvl 30+ but they still have a lot left in front of them.

My arcanist is now 75. Beat second diff at 74 on first try. I started playing around with a Occulist/Shaman build for pets, that's slow so far, but i'm getting ready to grow into a lot of neat toys my main toon found so that should be fun. Purged my inventory a bit of spares, had been collecting too many blues by far. Made like 100k selling all the spares :P

I'm late to the party on this, but it's on sale for 4 more hours on Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/grim-dawn

I saw the deal at reddit's r/grimdawn when I was looking into the game.

Bought the game on sale for ~$11 on steam if people were looking for a deal.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!
