Spoilers!- Superdeath tries his best.

Actually I’ll probably hold off on another dotmap until we know where the copper is. That’s only a few turns away.

1. I cant really post screenshots quite yet as my internet is down ( using phone data ) but we have copper next to cap.  We have found magic, ( green ) to our east, and next turn will actually meet him.

2. Still looking for a naming scheme, if you are available to pop in and name cities that would be fantastic! All i ask is that its something i can remember somewhat easily for posts/updates.

3. Im really wanting to push aggressive expansion to the extreme due to agg/ikhanda. Even with this sub-par/normal land. Getting to 10 cities by like turn 65-70 isnt out of the question imo.

I’ll have time tonight to pop in and can get screenshots and probably name a city. I can run with the comic book characters theme you mentioned pages ago.

You can do whatever you want, so long as i can easily remember/recall the names. So basically no incan names tongue

Turn 22- ( figured i have alot of extra data, and i might as well try and upload some screenshots/ect. )

Met Magic-Science this turn. Not much is known about him, except that he joined at likely, the last possible moment for this pitboss. I really have a feeling its a smurf just from what was shown in the start thread/tech thread.  Or maybe the skill of the average " new " player is alot higher than when I joined? alright  Mao-inca if i recall correctly.. so max early game shenanigans, if we can keep up with the expansion.. our agg/ikhanda's will destroy them in the mid-late game. i hope they dont settle to the west of their cap first, as i PLAN on chop/whipping settlers like mad, as that is alot of non-jungled green area over there.. nod

Dotmap stuff- Although i havent gotten around to trying to be a master painter and actually make a "dotmap" i have marked on the map where i think our first half dozen or so cities should go. If everything goes to plan, everything we currently see minus Magic's border, should be under our control by turn ... 75? crazyeye hammer

turn 23-

We find magic's cap, he has 2 workers out and mining/chopping a hill... ( seems a bit inefficient ) and we continue to do the normal semi-boring first 40 turns of the game.

It’s been a week. Should finally be able to sit down and actually look at things. Between work and kids there hasn’t been much time to spare. I’ll post some thoughts in a bit now that everyone is in bed and I don’t need to get up early tomorrow.

Updated dotmap using the signs in-game and new scouting info.

I realize as I'm typing this out that I forgot to name the capital  duh  I went back in to do it, but I guess since the game is currently paused it won't let me change it.

Some thoughts on these city locations:

City 2 (orange) looks to be our second city, it can steal the pigs from the capital or just use the corn for initial growth, and then leech the hill tiles from the capital, looks like it will be a production city.  This location also gets us the fish that would have otherwise been orphaned.

City 3 (red) I assume would be next, again able to share tiles with the capital including the copper, I assume that will be hooked up somewhat soon.  It gains two more food tiles once borders pop so it wouldn't need to depend on the capital forever.  Plenty of hills here too.

After that, I'd guess we'd go for either yellow or the aggressive green plant, with the pink gems city being city 6?  Yellow has multiple resources in its starting radius to build itself up, and green has the rice it can use right away.  Green seems like it would work as a commerce city, although it's obviously going to be on the border with Magic Science.

After those, the current mapped/signed cities would tend towards more filler, purple would get Ivory and Silk, blue likely would form the border with our assumed western neighbor but would require a border pop for the stronger tiles unless the fogged tile NW of the city site happens to have something.

I mapped a city both directly on the wine in the southwest, as well as a city one tile west.  1W of the Wine would also get the spices, but it would leave multiple tiles unused between that city and the proposed Yellow and Purple cities.  The brown city in the middle of the map feels like a lower priority filler city, only picking up silks and needing to borrow a food from another city.

No reason to try mapping a city to the Southeast as there are no resources visible, although I'd bet there's an iron and or horses there.  I'm sure there's room for 1 or even 2 cities between pink and green that could be claimed.

I assume you'd like to try somewhat of a farmer's gambit here and pop out as many settlers as possible.  Metagaming for a second, I think I'd build more military than I'd actually need if it was a game with vets just because I'd be paranoid, but in this game I have a feeling everyone's power will run a bit light early on.  And of course we can keep tabs on the demos, if someone starts building up power who happens to be near us it's not hard to pop out some units instead of settlers.

Also really curious how the map is going to end up, I'd assume there's probably someone another 5-7 tiles west of where you've scouted, Magic is 15 tiles east of the capital, and the Blue dot is 8 tiles from the capital.  I'd also guess there's probably someone a ways south of the gems, too.

Yeah, if we have to go to war to get that green spot... i dont mind... cuz that is wonderful. 2 food, and all that grassland.

I need some feedback, i was thinking of bringing back the "PINK DOT" ( but with our 3rd city ) What are your thoughts? The pink dot if no feedback/positive feedback will be the green-dot. it will have plenty of garrison.. i mainly feel that that land is lush and MOST of the land around us ( minus beelining south ) is really... okish. heh

turn 30 update-

Settle due EOT. got overflow going to either a warrior to finish it, or an ikhanda and then build that going to size 3, finish copper, and get an impi out to garrison the pink dot?

i found Shallow thoughts borders not too long ago ( not met ) and didnt go to meet him, instead moving the scout west and ended up on a forested hill, 8/10 life woody 1 promo vs a bear... Cant recall what the combat results might end up.. but ive already signed that scout away to death camp. Poor guy.. IF he lives i might name him. Hope everything is going good for ya masterjason!
