I believe Ziankali's latest bump is Wheel, not an axe.
I've delayed founding my first city by a turn so I can see where Copper is. Perhaps a needless precaution. It does slow down what is already a slow start.
Real turn report to come soon. First I had a question from my sandbox. I encountered something weird, and I don't know if it's coming from the game or the mod. Whenever I found a city, the city starts with "citizen automation" turned on. This means that if I found a city and then change my tech slider, the governor will reassign cities! Is this normal BTS behavior that I just never noticed?
That is normal behavior. Unless you reassign your cities manually every single turn/ take citizen automation off, the game will attempt to be the most "optimal " iirc
My cap is visible, I think. I ran out of plans when I needed to choose the capital's build. Decided on a worker, because those are good. But I really don't know what I'm doing. Annoyingly, I think inflation hits before I finish Wheel, so that's delayed by a turn. My poor second city is working the silver mine. I'm sure there was a better line in all of this, but whatcha gonna do?
I'm not used to Deity. I'm a million miles from Pottery (or good cottage tiles) and it's making me nervous.
I think you could have guessed capital copper before finishing BW by looking at the tile yield at Ziankali's, or am I missing something? That way the settler wouldn't have needed to wait. Sorry for not telling you before the fact, but it didn't feel kosher having read his thread as well.
Can I see the extra hammer before finishing the tech? Now that you mention it, I think you're right.
I was 99% sure that there was copper at the capital, but I had 1% of worry that it would have been 1 South of where it actually is. That would have been in the capital if I hadn't moved. I will say that I correctly guessed which hill the copper would show up on, which saved me two turns. On the other hand, I will need to make an 2 roads when Ziankali only needs one.
