My current thinking re attack plan is this ...
Turn 1
Declare war!
Promote all MGs up the Drill line as much as possible.
Promote ? Rifles to Guerilla II (they will defend instead of MGs against Cav)
Move all [10] MGs to hill 1 S of Corinth
Move all [38] Rifles to hill 1 S of Corinth
Move all [21] Cannons to hill 1 S of Corinth
Sooooo's turn - what do you think he does?
Turn 2
Say ouch!
Spy revolt Corinth
Promote all surviving Cannons down City Raider line
Promote all surviving Rifles to Combat I and then Pinch
Attack with all Cannons
Attack with all Rifles
You will notice that I haven't mentioned my cavalry. I was planning on holding them back just in case Sooooo launches an invasion of my territory with his stack. They can reach Corinth in 1 turn if I really need them but they will end up on a flat grassland farm tile (and injured if they fight).
So - questions ...
1) How many rifles should I promote down the Guerilla line?
2) What do you think Soooooo will do after I park 69 units on Corinth's door step?

Total - 63 + 15 (built over next 5 turns)

What if he moved all his 2-movers (around 25 cuir+cav) next to your city hoping to burn it down the following turn.
Will you have enough units there to hold for 1t since your stack will not be able to attack his ?

But seriously, if I were him I'd look for any way to create a counter-threat, such as Jabah described. If that's not feasible, I guess he hides behind the walls of Corinth? I don't think he'll evacuate the city.

To counter this - I will have 24 Cav, 9 muskets, a drafted rifle and 5 to 7 other assorted junk (maces, crossbows, pikes) in Death Valley. Those units, plus the +60% defensive bonus should carry the day. If Sooooo does do that, I should be able to capture Corinth in 1 turn, thus freeing some of my stack to attack his 2-movers.

As long as you can get right onto the hill, I would probably promote zero rifles to double hill defense.
Also, can you borrow a super-healer from Dreylin since he isn't currently at war?

You have to laugh at mh putting off Constitution for ages and then landing it on the same turn (or almost) that I do.

Founders Folly
I have struggled with what to do with this city all game. I should grow it at least 4 pops bigger and work the farms and mines for hammers.
Lal Qila
My capital and the major source of my beakers and coins. It also puts out a pretty respectable quantity of hammers.
Death Valley
My Globe powered draft city that can draft each and every turn. At the moment, it can also build some units with the hammers that it generates.
Block Head
My Heroic Epic city that has no food based resources. It is slowly growing another size so that it can work another mine. It will grow quickly when I finally get to Biology (so it can work more mines).
Bandhani Saree
A small, slow growing commerce city that can also be drafted (a little).
Ailia Coila
This city has finally grown to size and will happily sit at this size churning units.
Tamil Nadu
A moderate hammer city that is good for a cannon every 3 or 4 turns.
Katha Steel
I had meant this as another small town that has actually grown pretty well. I had meant it as a commerce city but I have drafted it. Note all of those hammers with no population to work them. I might farm the southern floodplain and then the two other southern grasslands.
Shangri-La
After this finishes its Courthouse it will knock off a Forge and then work on Wealth. This little town will be able to generate 20 hammers (pre forge) for 25g per turn.

me: rock up on Corinth's door step
Sooooo: he takes a tilt at my units
Turn 2
me: kill vast majority of Sooooo's units
I should get a GG defending during Sooooo's tilt or attacking during my own phase. At that point, I will create my Medic III and he will be ready to help my units heal after I have taken Corinth.
Am I missing something?

If Sooooo can't kill any of your units because of the machine guns, why not sit tight one turn and then attack with healthy units? Surely you will loose SOME units in the attack, right? Plus if Sooooo doesn't evacuate his city you can press the attack much faster if your units are healthier.
