Well if you are going to go that route, ask him if he event wants to admin anymore and offer to find someone else if he's too busy/disinterested.

Yeah. (I'm serious btw, even though it's kind of an amusing idea.) I think we should be able to find a way to do this nicely, and that it might work. And there would be no feelings of us trying to stage a coup or whatever.

Yeah. That's also why I think the 36-hour timer would be valuable. Right now there is a lot of pressure for the first player during wartime to play very quickly. With 36 hours, they can always take at least 12 hours to play their turn and still won't break the 48-hour total turn window.

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I'm not sure what to say, honestly.
No other teams seem to care about the timer. SPoly/CFC are making the turn pace tolerable, which makes it even harder to raise support. We've talked a lot in the diplo thread about not appearing to be arrogant power-gamers and I agree with that... I'm more concerned now with the game collapsing because we don't have a credible admin in place for the inevitable disputes. Just not sure how to play this.
