WANT THAT GOLD!
Reply

Personally, I think Deathwing is one of the best Arena legendaries due to the slower format, definitely would pick it over Illidan and Baron.

I wish I had that much gold so I didn't just have like 1 Arena run a day. I need to get better at Arena-ing to start making gold.

Hearthstone is still pretty buggy for me. Most common are small visual bugs, like cards stuck hovering over the map. Exactly one time the game just literally lost an action (my minion lost its movement ability but didn't actually attack). I found my favorite bug today though when my post-arena card reveal didn't have the proper glowing animations. It's cool to expend another Wisp and instead end up with Deathwing. I credit the earlier discussion with foreshadowing it.

I have had tons of visual bugs, but no gameplay ones (like a spell not working or minions missing attacks). There are visual bugs that affect gameplay, though, like when you place Defender of Argus in the middle of two minions and only one gets the buff (due to the swaping minions bug) or when you can't play a certain card in your hand due to another card being stuck on top of it.

Imo three things they still need to do before release:
- Fix the card dancing bug and the card stacking bug
- Release more game modes, like automatic tournaments
- Remake the horrible chat system (the one you use to talk to your friends)

Don't think game modes are necessary. Tournaments would probably be too RNG-dependent anyway until they implement Bo3 matches and sideboarding (which I hope they will do)

Bug fixing is what they need to focus on, I think dancing minions were in the game forever?

I am with Jowy here, I would love to see some new game modes. If you are not a fan of the turn based arena draft system you can only play casual and ranked which becomes a little boring after a while.

It would be cool if there was a chance to win cards/gold/dust in constructed. Right now you can be #1 Legend and don't get anything (yes, I know rewards are planned, but why not hand out at least some gold (cards)/dust/expert packs at the end of the season?)

Oh, I'm not saying that they're not needed. Just that they're not necessary for release. If they're added, say, around the same time as the first expansion comes out, I think it would be perfectly fine

I don't know how rewards at the end of the season would work for constructed play. If you get high enough to qualify for a reward, chances are you already have all the cards you need. I would agree that gold/dust reward for those who don't play arena would be nice, but assume that would reduce Blizzard income - they do need to sell those packs

Maybe a constructed analogue of Arena would make sense - the same structure, the same match-making, the same rewards, the only difference is you play with your constructed deck instead of a drafted one. Don't know how popular it would be though... you would have to pay for constructed play which is available for free at the next counter (with much lower rewards, but still...)

Bug fixing is the most important thing, yeah.

I do wish that Hearthstone would get Challenges like Scroll did where you can complete 1-time, well, challenges to earn gold, gives people a way to jumpstart their gold but since you only earn gold the first time you complete them you wouldn't be able to just eternally do them for a bunch of gold. Would be good fun.
