what are you talking about? you couldn't play your pbem because you can't have 2 civ games up at the same time:P civ stats says you just now logged out

ok, looking at the game, some thoughts
1. we don't have vision on billy talent atm, but it looks like azza is abandoning it to save his warrior. which I am grateful for, i was really worried we wouldnt win the 89% battle and we'd be screwed smile.

I think diomedes should move to the hill just N of the Iron and probably keep sentry there for a bit - for better vision. Breseis can build a road onto that hill while ishtar and Chryseis go back to get mines up and going in theOdyssey. and the sheep, borders expand in 2 turns.

I unpaused so lewwyn can play.

so i went to play my PBEM and civ wouldnt start right - couldnt figure it out - so i looked at the process list and beyondthesword was already running. i had no presentation to my windows though - no civ window.

Im not even sure how i got logged back in - as I havent touched civ since the last time you guys were yelling at me. did civstats show that i never quit/logged out from that time? that would be the only way - as i went to "quit to main menu" something got hosed up.

Okay I played, I rearranged tiles so that we don't need to chop a forest into the settler. Got 12hpt and it will reach 30H so we can whip it next turn. We just need to to hold out for maybe 2 more turns. I have Odyssey currently set to warrior 8T, if we can get the iron it will upgrade in queue to spear. With our workers we should be able to get iron connected the turn that it is revealed. We will likely have to plant on the same tile Azza did.

Billy Talent is razed. The issue we face now is all 3 of Azza's chariots are promoted... He'll have odds on every battle.

Top power rose 2k so either Azza wasn't top power or he didn't build another chariot. We'll have to see what Azza will do.

I don't think azza is top power.

anyway we'll have to cram every chariot we have into the city (and a warrior or two) when we found it. get the spear from theOdyssey in there asap.

nice micro (im looking at it now). pictures incoming.

the chariot we can see from azza is 2.6/4, but not promoted. maybe he gets cocky and moves it where the warrior is? haha, we can hope.
azza indeed abandoned billy talent. I think that was a mistake. I think losing the warrior is worth the 10% chance he wins and holds onto it.
Then again, Billy Talent was junk. maybe he was happy to see it razed.

we're only losing 6 gold per turn. losing 2 warriors and 2 chariots tremendously improved our economy wink.
we now have enough gold to plow through iron working AND sailing at 100%.

demos:

the GNP is incrdible to me. we have 3 grassland river cottages that we can't work atm due to the need for hammers and foodhammers. if we ever get peace again our economy will take off.

The food is less impressive. its going to get worse soon, the Odyssey has 25 turns of whip unhappy, and will grow to unhappy in 3 turns to unhappy at *size 3*, so we'll have to stop working the corn. probably a new riverside cottage and a mined hill.

Ishtar and Chryseis finish the mine this turn. Penelope and Helen started a riverside cottage instead of chopping, which is excellent, since Lewwyn configured the tiles so the chop isn't needed and doesnt slow down the new city.

Lewwyn, you didn't think a road on the hill was worth it? Briseis is just running back home.
Cassandra (not pictured) is back on the forest near the capital, chopping in 2 turns. are you putting the hammers into the chariot? hmm, that kind of sucks, but desperate times, I guess.

oh, I don't like the spot azza chose. It gives us 2 extra desert tiles, is right on azza's borders. also (less important) its the only spot that can't build a levee down the road. thats a long way off, but will be useful since it will have so many lake tiles.

if azza does give us peace right before we settle, then I definitely think we should settle on the desert. if azza is stubborn and forces war, then we settle wherever we have too and get spears out asap.
