Oh bother. My stack outside of Sparta takes a bounding. I pull 1 Cavalry back to my territory and move the rest of the stack onto the hill to Sparta's East. I don't expect to see it there next turn.

This is going to be a very hard slog.

Lurker Question - I got a Great Artist 2 turns ago. This turn I popped a Great Engineer. Golden Age? Or rush Pentegon? West Point is out as I don't have a level 6 unit.

I apologize for not noticing but have you built Ironworks yet? Its a bit counterintuitive but rushing Ironworks is a great use for a GE. As for the Pentagon, a GE will only build about half that if memory serves.

Dreylin and I just had a War Council and determined our tech path for the next 15 to 18 turns. We also discussed my use of Great People, possible attack plans with Sooooo and Mostly Harmless.

I'll be moving into a consolidation, infrastructure mode but building enough units to keep Sooooo honest. In the current situation, I don't have the troops, or strength to just keep walking into his meat grinder.

No more 'military in foreign land' expenses - sigh. Guess it is time to turtle and see what I can come back with in 10 or so turns. I do still have a bigger military than Sooooo but those flat tiles are killers. I need to find a way to get him to spread his resources .

I burnt my Great Engineer on Mining Inc. Each city generates 11h and costs 8 to 9g. My capital gets 4 gold that is currently converted into 8 gold - so each city of mine with Mining Inc is a zero sum game on the gold front. When I get Wall Street into my capital, I'll be making 4 gold from each city. I think it is finally time to plant that other spice city and replace the city in the Northern zone of Death Valley.

Another thing that losing all of my army opens up ... a revolt into Pacifism. That should speed up my next Great Person - one I can finally couple with my Great Artist from 3 turns back for my second Golden Age.

My capital is currently showing -2 unhappy, due to the 515 war weariness that Sooooo inflicted on me. I missed an opportunity this turn - should have built my Unique Building (-25% WW and +2 Happy) - next turn for sure.

My Mining Inc exec will go to TN to help speed along my 5th bank. I'll squeeze another out of LQ for FF and then alternate Settler, Exec for a while out of FF.

Actually, I don't need a jail at my capital - 3:mad: people just went back to work as the draft unhappy declined. I've got some banks starting to come on line so my coin income is increasing. I am planning to revolt to Pacifism next turn (depending on my banks still finishing in time). I have Wall Street planned for the capital and will be slipping in a Factory next turn to replace the +25% hammer bonus that I will be losing by swapping out of Organized Religion.

BTW - a Mining Exec spread costs me 72g. I also have a pic of my power drop that I will post later.

I didn't revolt to Pacifism - decided to stay in Org Religion to make use of the +25% hammer bonus for buildings. Fascism is in - Great General for me. Pushing onto Combustion.

I requested Dreylin's duplicate iron, coal, gold, silver, bronze and now each Mining Inc center is bringing in 17h and costing me about 9g per turn.
