RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

dsplaisted Wrote:I don't think leaving the workers in the open was a mistake, Inca needed to road that tile to reinforce Kiwi Town with the stack that was on the forest tile.

the mistake wasn't roading the tile, it was leaving the workers unprotected. 1LB from the southern stack would have been plenty (and not aroused suspicion).
Quote:I think we should turn our attention to a possible lightning raid on the new Roman city.

To what end do we want to raze it now? I don't see a big win for the large risk of being light on numbers at KB. Azteca has been whipping and has roaded towards Inca over their 'Northen Pass', so we run light at our peril given we're in a 4/5 on 1 right now.

Better to settle, chop a theatre and see what sort of GP we get from Uberfish than rush headlong into another war. If we get an Artist we can bomb (rather than GA). If Rome attacks us they void their NAP with Babylon which might get Kyan back into the game for some hammer
Quote:We need to make sure we build monasteries for each of the religions we have before we get Scientific Method. I see a Jewish Monastery is building in Sirian so you may already be on top of that.
It's in-hand (Sticky has Taoist Mon, PiB Hindu). Was thinking of another one in Sirian or Uberfish to spread to the northern cities whilst PiB does the southern ones. On balance I think Uberfish would be better (whip after GP born) given Sirian's BUR hammers will be better spent on Rifles rather than missionaries. What do you think?

Also, what's going on with cultural defences at Kalin's Burgers (now renamed Gimme Shelter for the lolz). We have 3% having culture bombed last turn. huh and cry and banghead Lurkers, can you help us?

Also, I've left a curry unmoved: it could take sentry and make a tiny tour to see whether Inca is moving in with their slow movers (as it could see most, if not all tiles where they could 1-move to the desert hill). Whether you move him or not, can you post in the IT thread that we've finished our turn before the clock gets to 12h as I'm turning in shortly. Ta.

Away from the front lines, Carthage took umbrage at our settling Spicy Corn, so I offered them a permanent gift of our spare spices (3rd ring Steel Wheels) to placate them. And offered to consider gifting them the city if it all goes wrong and we need to 'do an Inca' to survive. No reply to that email as yet.

I don't mind rushing the settler to red dot btw...just the whole attack Rome thing is a no-no right now.

And next GP due out of Uberfish in 5t (speeded with specialists).

Doesn't a captured city take a while to increase culture on BTS (i.e. not as fast as the culture is generated)?

@spacemanmf - I guess so frown

@Daniel - I take it you saw nothing of note with the curry's little tour?

Carthage asked for a chat whilst I was asleep. I don't intend to change our offer (and they've ended turn, so we're safe).

I'm guessing it still has "bombardment memory" from when you bombarded and captured the city.

EDIT: So to complement spacemanmf, the captured city takes a while to recover its defenses, but only if you bombarded it.
I have to run.

Rome's whipped a couple more times this turn...

I saw a worker to the SE and nothing else. Couldn't get vision on the desert copper tile, the stack might be there.

Suggested worker actions T147: Uschi heads back to Sticky Fingers to start a watermill. Jerry and Carla should start a workshop on the plains tile shared by Babylon Bridge & Sirian. One of Sabrina and L'Wren should road 1E whilst the other heads to help Nakor farm at Gimme Shelter. The rest continue/finish their assigned tasks.

Also, we want to do some pre-building of Rifles & Cavalry (Rifling due on T149), so bear this is mind when selecting builds. Steel Wheels might need to build a theatre (for eventual Globe) to avoid completing a curry or a musket before Rilfing is in.

@Daniel: My availability to play may be a bit sketchy from tomorrow until Sunday, so if I'm online then assume I can't play and play the turn yourself/pause as required. Looks like we'll pause for Dantski, and as he's now flying solo it could be a longer pause.

EDIT: we lost Rome's graphs. I suspect they're spending lots of EPs elsewhere as were still at 44/43 (and we lost England's because of their total EP spend even though we're at 43/43).

Missed this at the time bang

Dunno if we could have seen this on T144 before we moved the SoD onto the plains hill. I certainly didn't notice the gift at the time: I had been looking at the charts but may have been too focused on our and Inca's graphs.
