WW37- For Whom the Bell Trolls

As an aside: I think no lynch as a victory condition makes even less sense when it is also the tiebreaking mechanism.
If you know what I mean.

I think I might be coming down from my No Lynch utopia wagon now...

No Lynch as a bastard win condition with cultists makes zero sense.

But but weren't you voting for novice too?

Actually, I was really hoping to hit your team Zak. Maybe I did.

What's this? In his haste he has left a sheaf of notes behind. Mind racing, I skim through them. They appear to be referring to some sort of medication that the man was taking regularly, though why he'd need anti-psychotics designed to resist Scopolomine, I couldn't imagine...

And suddenly, a half-forgotten snippet of memory triggered. About an article published nearly 7 years ago about the uses of certain drugs to help induct cult members in some South American country. Could there be some mad cultist here, trying the same methods? And what reason would this man have for suspecting it?

Perhaps that explains the moronic behavior of my fellows. Perhaps there really are dangerous and disruptive elements in this town, and perhaps they're using these arcane methods to further their mad goals. Or perhaps I just met a conspiracy theorist with no ability to keep his mouth shut.

This doesn't exactly hint at vampires. So maybe there's another cult, too.

I voted to break the tie, or at least thought I did. Looks like Novice could have voted in self defense to create a tie, though, if not for my vote. So my vote was indeed required, to secure a lynch.

By the way Zak, I showed you my role, if you still want to show me yours. Traffic cop, mayhaps?

That would fit to your postmaster-claim

Hah! A touch sir, a touch.

My ability is actually true though. And I remember traffic cop as having an extra layer of convolution to it, but the details have grown hazy.

Goodnight guys.

Well, I missed the vote due to spending time with the family, but to be honest, motivation is pretty low anyway. This does up it a titch, but only a little, maybe night actions will change my perspective. I'd make the observation that I thought novice was scummy, but as others have pointed out, I think everyone here looks scummy.

For this sir, you deserve to be drawn and quartered :P

To me this speaks more to the idea that it is a player message rather than a mod message. In my opinion the person that is sending these messages realizes the setup in this game is very complex, and threw out the idea of a cult to distract from greater issues, and got lucky/unlucky on accident. Being right about the cult, but way off in the background tells me they aren't happy, as the distraction won't work as well, AND the messages can no longer be trusted to have any sort of validity.

Well, given that an actual cult HAS apparently surfaced, I'd say that the supposed distraction worked better than "they" could have hoped for.
