PB75: Superdeath forced to play

Im about 6t or less from Currency. Plan here is the praet in the back of machu picchu captures it, and maybe that will break the culture enough for the further praet to get 2 tiles. Probably not, now that i look at it.. but regardless that praet will move forward. The AXE on the other-hand is sitting pretty and going to rack up some more kills... Really wish/dont wish at the same time that Ricky would whip. Like... does he just have everything set to auto produce/auto workers? im very curious.

Anyway that axe's main purpose, before euthanizing that city, is to hopefully get to 10xp so i can get the HE started once i start down the music path. Also, for the GG points. Trying to rush units down here without whipping/getting myself in a hole b4 Gavagai can pounce is a bitch to do. Luckily, ricky is... a settler difficulty player.

Sadly, if i win because i took this land from a player-in-training.. ill feel really bad. Wont feel like a win.

Oh, who am i kidding. Gavagai will probably start some stupid forever war with me because he didnt expand at all and now wants to take my cities. :P


ALSO ALSO, Gavagai continues to show his colors/hand by continuing to dump 4ep a turn into me when he doesnt have graphs on others. Im suspecting he wants to get to research vision, but man.. Why. Anyone know off-hand what research vis is for 2 nations roughly equal in EP to hit? Id guess like 180-250? but idk the maths.

According to this, the formula for espionage is:

Base Factor * (100+How much they have against you) * Modifiers

Base Factors for Passive Missions
Demographics=0.3
City Visibility=1.2
Investigate=2
See Research=0.75

So for research vision at even EP production (1.0 modifier) it would become:

EP needed = 0.75 * (100 + Their EP)

Solving that for EP needed = Their EP yields 300.
(Similarly, the result is 42 for Demographics/Graphs, and city vision/visibility isn't possible to get both ways)

Annoyingly Gavagai is at war with Dreylin? iirc, for some reason i have to assume workboat/scout.. but surely one of them has writing and it shouldnt be a big deal right? Thus he doesnt play till the end of the timer. It feels like an excuse to keep the 2nd half in any eventual double ricky attack, or if he tries to get a preemptive strike on me. Probably more paranoid than i should be, because i feel like im doing better than i usually am. Usually everytime ive felt like this, its right before a random Commodore attack happens, or some random barb gets a 3% win. Cant wait to see what happens.

What kind? Regular, Banana cream, or Strawberry shake

Its a long process to make (over 10 days roughly) But i can get the recipe and insert it here.

Also, Gavagai took a city off of Ricky, putting me on a timer to grab his capital. My guess that he had a bunch of WC's is correct, luckily a forest grew over a roaded spot so i have a chance to grab the capital without interference. Just gotta hope he doesnt pile in a bunch of HA's and WC's on that forest.. ALSO ALSO, got my axe to 10xp. So, ill be able to build HE. Ive sent a bunch of diplomatic offers around, going to see what is sent back if anything. Last i saw, Gavagai doesnt have open borders with anyone. So, no clue what he is doing. He only recently jumped up in city count. Im hoping i can grab a furs to the east and to set the border more in my favor. I dont particularly want to go to war with Gavagai but i think id have a fairly easy time at it. AGG praets vs shock HA's.. without factoring in c2 i think puts me ahead iirc.

I dont mind staying out of war for a bit to spam some settlers/workers though. Pics next turn.

I thought forest growths couldn't occur on any non-bare tile, even just a road, but it sounds like it worked out for you in this case.

Iirc roads and rails halve the chance, but do still allow it. Other improvements disallow it entirely.

I could also be mis-remembering a forest being there already, but i swear it recently grew. Either way it works out nicely for me.

The next time im at my grandma's ill get the recipe and post it here. I do know for the Strawberry Shake part, we use Sonic's strawberry shake instant pudding mix. Can buy it via amazon.
