Okay - it appears that the average soldier count has remained constant at 4222, which is consistent with nobody having yet built a warrior.

I thought that certainly one of the other 2 Hunting starts would have used the 1/3 deer to build a 3 turn warrior. But that is apparently not the case.

Hunting is 69 beakers, so I guess it should be on Turn 7 (3t from now) that we should see people research that. My guess is that would be the first tech for the majority of folks, if the assumption that the starts are similar

Also, if starts are in fact similar, then I'd expect to see the other Expansive folks (Isabella, Bismark and Washington) if they started worker first, to have the worker done on T9 - Turn 9 move to the deer, Turn 10-13 camp the deer, so late on T13 we should see the best food go up.

Agree. Tundra suggests the top of the map. If we're totally isolated, at least to land units, that would be as much land as I'd expect us to get anyways.

I played the turn this morning and ended turn

We've met the top of the board! Any use in scouting out the perimeter up here, or should we send the scout back south?

Several teams got a score increase, and soldier count went way up, so I'm betting every turn except those of us who already start with Hunting researched Hunting this turn. I'll run the numbers here in a few

Okay the numbers weren't too hard to interpret.

Avg. soldier count went up 1555, which is a total of 14000 (divided by 9 opponents).

7 opponents also researched a tech, and Hunting gives 2000 soldier points.

Given that it's likely everyone has a double deer start, my EXPERT powers of deduction say that....
