I focused on the orcs first, but the trolls were using loaded dice (clubs?). The good news is that trolls don't defend well in any terrain, so a turn of focused fire took the biggie down.

Trolls don't get very many defense bonuses so Trolls in keeps are bad. Also, if the troll eat a lot of your low level guys, you shouldn't get broken up. It costs 20 gold to recall a unit.

Okay beat the scenario, The Green orc lord popped out of the keep and rushed to his doom.

Turn 1 killed troll wolf and orc. Bruindane lvled to Longbow, our Poacher levelled to Trapper

Orcs and trolls failed to kill anything.

Turn 2 killed troll and damaged ord Lord

Orc and orc lord killed a woodsman, Troll failed to kill a wounded woodsman.

Turn 3 kill Orc lord with woodsman who lvled to Bowman (wanted to try to lvl bowman but woodsman got lucky hits.)


Cutscene indicates that green Orc failed his plan. An orc escaped to tell their master.

Next level is in the dwarven caves. I have lots of Screenshots I juts wante dto get this up quick so we could discuss. Tell me which screenies you want, I'll be adding a few ini edits.

Here's the opening of the new scenario, we start with Lewwyn and Bruindane:

As a note we now have more unit recruit choices.
  • footpad - hp 30 mp 7 melee 5-2 range 5-2 lvl 1 Chaotic
  • peasent - hp 18 mp 5 melee 5-2 range 4-1 lvl0 Lawful
  • poacher - hp 32 mp 5 melee 3-2 range 4-4 lvl 1 Chaotic
  • thug - hp 32 mp 5 melee 5-4 lvl 1 Chaotic
  • woodsman - hp 18 mp 5 melee 3-1 range 4-3 lvl 0 neutrol.

footpads I like because 60% dodge chance nearly everwhere and they are fast for in caves which we are in.

lawful units will be bad for this senerio so lets no recall or recruit any.

Maybe we should recall our trapper vyc to try and finish lvling him.

I think maybe recruit 4-8 footpads to capture those villages just to the east and start scouting.

Before we recruit all our 1643 gold jive I recomend that we find out who we might be facing.

Sounds good to me, We can spare any footpads that we might encounter danger as well because we have so much gold. I didn't mention it in my report because I was hurrying to get the turn off, but yeah I was lol when I saw the gold count.

So first couple waves footpads, recall Vyc, and after we get a lay of the land, some poachers mayhap.

Does no early finish bonus also imply that no gold gets carried over? If so, it's spend it or lose it.

Which also implies that he knew about the troll trap that we activated lol (free xp yum)
