Still at war...

The pasture gets delayed by 1t (2t if he decides to stay there) but so what? We need to road towards Wheat + Gold site eventually anyway plus ofc the health bonus for the cows is nice too. It will be interesting to see what Gavagai does next. He will know if we have copper since he revealed the tiles in our capitol but he won't know about the horses if he stays here messing with our worker micro. Ofc, I should be able to kill the scout next turn depending on what he does. Not a big fan of pillage choking since it is better to scout early on.

Rohan will actually be a good settle for us (just wish it was a little bit closer)...

Since we'll have both silver and gold, we can get Rohan up to size 6 (with just Mining). The city will make 14H 7C (9C with a LH) per turn at sz 6 and with a food surplus of +7Fpt (at sz 3) / +8Fpt (at sz 4 with LH) will have decent whipping potential. Nice spot. :D

Good site indeed! City 3?
Let's road towards the gold with the worker, yes.
And kill that scout. hammer

We might need to take a more active role in PB10....

I'd have to say yes. Somewhat risky to get to but I think we'll be forced to settle it before Mids city (no commerce although good production) and desert hill (need Archery or metal to defend properly). Until we can get to Pottery (and secure desert hill), I value commerce>hammers>food. We probably go BW->(Archery if no copper)->Pottery->then Masonry->Writing (or Writing->Masonry). Absolutely critical we get these techs asap.

Gavagai offered peace treaty and had his scout in a safe position. I thought about rejecting the treaty (strategically useful) but in the end, decided that the inconvenience factor (in getting the early turns played) made accepting the treaty the better option. This does give him the option of settling aggressively towards us but then again he might not be that close anyway. I have a warrior heading south to start scouting around desert hill. Should probably name the warrior Gandhi. lol T20 demos...

Somewhat surprised by the demos. We have top crop yield at sz 2 (well tied for first actually). I'm guessing Gavagai is working a fish and 2 grass forests (to get a worker out). Pretty sure he has BW already (forgot to check) so expect his pop to shrink to sz 1 shortly. We'll see though.

Fast forward. T22 scouting...

No one to our west. Sacagawea will finish revealing the tiles in the west before heading south. Gavagai's capitol grew to sz 4 this turn. I checked and he still hasn't adopted slavery. Seems unlikely he hasn't researched BW so not sure what he is up to. The demos...

Settling south and claiming that northern land for our own seems like the best course of action.

Finally we get past the longest turn ever...

Not sure how many warriors we should spam but we have 16 turns until BW is in..yikes. We could finish these two warriors (garrison and worker escort) then go settler (wheat + gold)->warrior (garrison)->warrior->settler (grab horses/copper). Another option would be to spam warriors until happy cap is reached then build settlers/workers while waiting to see if we have copper. I think we'll be forced into settling the wheat + gold and just hope we don't strand any nearby copper. The demos...

Nice that we have top MFG. With enough warriors it would be possible to defend against archers/chariots. Obviously if Gavagai has copper (and he attacks us) we're pretty much dead though. No way we can get to Archery in time (BW takes the same amount of turns as Hunting->Archery). The gold won't be online in time to affect our research towards BW but would speed up getting Archery. I guess what I am saying is that we are taking a big risk going BW. The safe bet would be to tech Archery first (although dumping research overflow into BW is the correct move for this turn).

@ Nakor : What do you think? Should we risk going BW or get Archery first? Although it is probable we have copper, we might not. We have decent production so could get by delaying Slavery.

We need BW first, so let's stick to that.
Maybe we should build a few warriors (untill happy cap) and then build Settler - Worker - Settler (whip).
If we mine the hill we get even better production, then road towards the gold.
Second worker can start chopping the forests into more workers/settlers.

Pretty much what I had planned. Even growing to happy cap, we'll still have a settler out before BW is in but I don't think we can delay settling our second city. I am fine risking BW first.
