How's it goin'?

I've been fighting a war against Xenu. His cities have exchanged hands in few occasions, but I've gained little bit of land mainly because Xenu is also fighting with Cheater Heater too. Very expensive land and in a bigger picture insignificant, but at least I'm actively doing something while waiting for some of the frontrunners getting in to a dominant position.

Ok - 2 pokes so I guess some kind of update is in order. War against Xenu has long gone now and he is sitting with 1 behind the narrow sea. He is still having a war against CH, but I think all his troops are inside his capital. Too bad his culture is pretty dominant in the neighborhood of his city. He has sent me some kind of countdown messages with gold exchanges of similar value 5 to 5, 4 to 4... I'm against this kind of coded messages so I haven't responded or given much thought what it means. Maybe he plans to attack me in 2T, when countdown wnds . He surely could since his capital has quite a few troops.

CH is my only land neighbor. I've followed his progress and he isn't doint that well. Surprisingly he hasn't been building much military. I'll probably attack after I get some kind of military tech advantage. Unless of course some of the big players in my neighborhood decide to attack me. I'm on golden age and have focused mostly on economy so I'm significantly behind in military techs. However I'll convert to Nationhood+Theocracy so potentially I've good means to produce military in 2 turns.

Globally there has been wars here and there. Most notably dtay is no longer a favorite to win. BGN and Old tourist are in best spot at the moment.

No idea really. I haven't really paid that much attention to foreign affairs. dtay and Also Krovice are in decent shape too.

My goal is just to survive. I've reached my personal winning condition, if I can capture and keep this island just for myself to the end of this game.

I've turned in to a survival mode in this game building lots of military not to look weak. That naturally means I'm not catching up in tech. I've several powerful neighbors that need to be somehow taken into account. I hoped to attack CH few turns back. I even canceled OB and moved to staging tile, but peace was signed between dtay and Krill and CH about to finish Rifling so I decided to cancel that effort. CH is still seemingly passive in increasing his power so it might become an option to attack a bit later, if it seems safe enough after reaching Steel and building few Cannons.

I should also try to get rid of Xenu. His remaining city got 60% culture that makes one of my cities totally surrounded by his culture. Not sure how to do this though. It would be much better, if wetbandit would capture the city since they share same continent.
