Ah, true. He should've fired it to prevent you from using RoF/haste asap. Not sure how many Ritualists you had brought against Kragroth, though.

Maybe he got KotE too late to make a difference.

RoF had a big effect at the end, true. And they were important against Kragroth, who's super-priests all sported shock promotions. I could've overwhelmed him with numbers, but it would have taken far longer (especially without haste) and weakened other operations. Most likely I would've just burnt his east, and then settled in for a build-up on all fronts whilst I waited for it to expire.

Edit: and no, he had it from the start of the invasion, iirc.

Great naval combat, btw, both to you and Dreylin. Forced me to expend massive resources (especially gold) on maintaining the status quo, when by rights I should've blown you out of the water. I got complacent, and let you gather xp, and you made me pay for it.

Hah, thanks. I was enjoying it. Shame that you saw my privaater that was going to burn the empty city SE of Gouda. I had forgotten that flanking promotion was required for movement promotions.

Had Kragtoth fired his WS, the game would've taken longer and it would've slowed your attacks - the outcome would've still been the same obviously.
