So the new EP ratios are:
Dreylin: 181/170 (+13/turn)
Adrien: 87/121 (+1/turn)
Pickle: 126/141 (+4/turn)
So, Dreylin's spending 8 EPs on me, Pickle's spending 3 EPs & Adrien not spending any. I shifted 1 from Pickle to Dreylin this turn, but if I shift 2 back the other way I'll have Research on all 3 in 5 turns (unless they change their spending)

OK, the economy's alright as I'm getting, at 0%, 3 times the gold I spend at 100%. Although this turn I've decided to spend 15g to get 20 extra EPs; the game's moved the goalposts on seeing the other's Research!

Turn 101 & HBR is in.
Spending the extra 15g on EPs, again, has got me both Dreylin's & Adrien's Research. Neither are at 100% tech, possibly both running at break-even. I may miss out on Theology (5 turns away) if Adrien racks his up! Dreylin's working on HBR. He's already got Pike in his border cities, though. I may run at 0% after Theology and start upgrading some older units.

I can see all three's Research. Dreylin will complete HBR on his next turn, Pickle is about to get Literature (must do that sometime) and Adrien's now 13 turns from Theology (I'm sure it was 6 last turn  )

Turn 103 & Monotheism is in scratch that, I noticed Adrien's on Aesthetics so checked log & yes, he landed Theology and founded Christianity in his city by me! So I switched to Philosophy (to nab Taoism) and will complete it in 2 turns @ 80%.
I think the game is broken. Dreylin didn't spend any EPs on me but I cannot see his Research this turn  It clearly states I need to have spent 245, I'm at 262, so why can I not see what he's doing? Annoying, as I'll need to switch some over to Adrien as he spent 6 on me last turn.

Turn 104 & Philosophy is in! Taoism founded in Tony Pulis. Will probably convert next turn; maybe look at what alternative civics are available too.
Now I'll set a course for Printing Press, but initially set tech at 0% & spend a few turns upgrading units.
Still concerned with EPs. Dreylin's not spent anything for at least the last 6 turns & I'm not able to see his Research; despite the game insisting i've spent enough to do so. Adrien's increased his spending on me, so I've taken off Dreylin and evened things out to 6EPs each (boosted to 13 each when I moved the slider to 10%).
In other news; Dreylin declared war on Adrien. Hope this isn't a ploy so they can have 10 turns of forced peace to squeeze either Pickle or myself.

Turn 105 & decided not not convert to Taoism .. just yet. Realised I couldn't switch Civics at the same time as I'm not SPI, in a Golden Age, or have Cristo Redentor  I did get a Great Scientist at end of turn, but 2 are needed to trigger a Golden Age  & the next one's not for 15 turns. As Dreylin & Adrien made Peace, not sure if I have that long. Could take Alphabet, or, even better, send him to build an Academy in Sam Allardyce to try & wrest the Sheep back off Dreylin.

Turn 111 & Adrien declares war!
Good thing I've been upgrading my troops ... and building Walls. Whipped Pike in most cities.  And I'm still 2 turns (@ 100%) away from Macemen 
His main force appears to be from his border city with me (oh, how I wish I'd taken it earlier ) but I spotted a couple of Cataphracts on my border with Dreylin! Scouting Chariots is one thing, but Cataphracts(Knights)? I wonder what's lurking behind Dreylin's border cities?
Ok, it might come back to bite me, and also doing this out of spite, but I closed my border with Dreylin. Was moving Cataphracts into his territory what caused Pickle to temporarily close his border to Adrien? Sent Pickle a Copper for Copper trade; let's see if he takes this as a request for help, or shafts me by cancelling our deals.
