Khan has been holding the save because he didn't like my order of battle. I explained how and why I played like I played. He still didn't like it. I replayed it how I think he would have preferred me to play and offered to delete one of my units as it would have died using his order of battle.

He asked that I submit my save to a 3rd party and I refused.

He grabbed the save from the tracker, is waiting on the admin password to force a 3rd party review at which point I sent him and the 3rd party the save with a new password.

I'm going to need a replacement for this game and for pbem75.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

All, we need to make a judgment call on this game. This has clearly left an understandably sour taste in Ruff's mouth and I apologise for my part in that. The matter was more complex than portrayed above but there's no point getting into that now.

I am in favour of ending the game at this point but if the other parties disagree then I will continue to play. Can be called in El Grillo's favour in my opinion if it were to end prematurely.

Ruff, I am confident that any check of the save would only support your innocence.

It is, however, true, that this nonsense has gone on long enough. I insist that the game ends now, and I don't care how it's called.

I received an anonymous tip some time ago about suspicious combat results during Khan's attack of greenline. I asked him about this on Discord, but he denied it and explained that he was able to capture so many cities so quickly due to greenline not preparing and also making tactical mistakes. Fair enough. Here's the chat log starting from this point (we had been talking about out-of-game things up until then).

Khan blatantly misrepresented the situation with Ruff to me. There were 3 wins out of 4 combats, not 9 out of 10. The odds weren't as bad as he suggested, and the bit about switching targets was exaggerated. This prompted me to recommend checking the combat log against the previous save, which I now regret. This exchange made me much more suspicious of Khan, and I simply couldn't take his word for it regarding the alleged suspicious greenline combats.

Now that the game is over, I took the liberty of auditing some of those saves myself, using a combination of tracker saves, player permission, the admin password, and my combat-log checker.

The first combat I checked was the fall of V2, greenline's capitol, on t97, 710AD. Note that all of khan's knights were hit by collateral on the previous turn.

From greenline's perspective:
C2 knight v longbow @ 9.9, lose, 5 hits
C2 knight v spear @ 17.8, lose, 1 hit
C1 knight v spear @ 32.5, win, 3 hits
knight v horse archer @ 62.8, win, 3 hits
knight v injured longbow @ 97.5, win, 1 hit

From khan's perspective making the attacks on the previous turn:
C2 knight v longbow @ 9.9, lose, 5 hits
C2 knight v spear @ 17.8, lose, 0 hits

Naturally, the rest of the combat results can't be verified from that point on. However, I was curious, and decided to see if these results could be produced via RN burning. Here's what I suspect the turn actually looked like:

C2 knight v longbow @ 9.9, lose, 5 hits
burn 3 RNs
C2 knight v spear @ 17.8, lose, 1 hit
C1 knight v spear @ 32.5, win, 3 hits
knight v horse archer @ 62.8, win, 3 hits
knight v injured longbow @ 97.5, win, 1 hit

Khan, what is your explanation for this? Would you be willing to provide a python debug log, or a video recording of you playing that combat, as evidence?

Trying to get you on discord now. Yes, we can do any checks you like. Can give my password to do the attack yourself.

Just replayed that turn and did the exact same attacks, in that order. Made sure the %ages tallied up so it really was the same unit each time. The attack went exactly as per greenline's log.

Try it for yourself. Happy to use your python logging tool or whatever you feel is best to prove it.

I'm okay with ending the game here in whatever manner everyone else wants.

Okay, the game's dead, but who's going to bury it?

I opened this thead to see where you guys were in your game (as ours is getting interesting), and I'm sad to see it ended this way. Congrats to El Grillo (I think ?) for winning the mini-tournament.
All of you are welcome to come lurk our game on the other side (I haven't been reporting enough, but it's also because of the lack of lurker participation).
