Anyone up for an EitB SG?

There used to be an event that could give you a monument, but that was several versions of EitB ago. Probably still exists, though.

Ah... I don't see the save. I can see Brian's saves from earlier turns, but not yours.

My initial impression - without having a savegame to look at - is that we're probably better off focussed on our own expansion for the moment, so I might take peace with the Hippus. Dislodging 4+ Warriors, some with promotions, from a hilled capital sounds like a nightmare.

Will evaluate once I have the savegame to check in-game.

Four or more warriors in a hill capital would be costly to knock out. frown We may find ourselves returning to the Hippus later, one way or another....

I would also like to ask what the team thinks of world spells and timing for them. Obviously we do not want to do anything too cheesy like intentionally wasting a world spell just before we switch civs, although if using one was what we needed to reach the top in score to trigger the switch I think that would be valid. But other than edge cases like that, when is the best time to think about using them?

Crap, I guess adding the save to that post didn't go through somehow, and I just got to work... Sorry guys it's going to be about 9 hours before I can fix that. I was in a rush when I thought I added the save but I still should have checked later

A few other thoughts now that I'm here. Some of the hippus warriors have promos, without any apparent means to get them. Is there something in FfH2/EitB that I don't know about that could result in that?

Re: expansion instead of attack. That was my thought as well. But we will want to kill the hippus and probably doviello before swapping, since they are both in awful positions atm

It's still there, you get either monument, 25g or ten turns of 1 extra happy. I've never personally taken the happy.

Our current world spell is bad without the high AC, I'd pop it if we were going to war and needed that extra bit of damage, but otherwise would leave it alone. Other civs' world spells can be used to best suit the team, if they're still available.

On the turns, they look good. Re the rush, I was more throwing it out there as an option rather than advocating it. With what looks a crippled Rhoanna we could just settler spam instead (did she pop a settler I wonder or was it just a couple of bad events?). And great work on the hut, sometimes it is better to be lucky than good, I recall somebody saying.

Took a look around the save. We really are cramped with the Doviello almost as close as the Hippus.

Rhoanna has stacked up a pile of warriors in her capital. frown 6 of them already, although she may move some of them out whenever she gets around to building a settler. Taking peace and pushing our own expansion seems likely to be the better option.

Where to send a settler, once we have one? The corn/cows spot northeast of the Remnants looks promising, but is also likely to be safe for a while. Maybe plant more aggressively to the west, try to cut off the Hippus?

So what's happening here? Has anyone played a turnset?

I think Lord Parkin is up? I have not seen a response from him since the save was posted, but I have no idea what his usual time window might be. Hopefully we will hear from him soon-ish.
