Seriously though, what Mist said is clear enough. I just want to highlight one thing - Parkin said they could have just negotiated in-thread over several days. I hope that illustrates the Lewwyn side's point here. That's the exact competitive advantage we're trying to remove. Maybe no counteroffer was possible, but you definitely gained by knowing your agreement NOW and not 3t from now.

@mist - the next post I make in my thread (may not be until tonight) will be a question for you.

When I've logged into the game before using a different computer other than my regular game PC I know I've quickly gone through the player login screen for Direct IP Connection and missed that there was a different user name showing in the Player Name box. In my case it was pulling the player name into Civ from the %username% Windows environment variable (if you're on Windows that is) since I hadn't logged into Civ from that PC before and there wasn't some value retained from a previous session. I'm not sure that "." is a valid Windows username, though, so maybe it was something different for LP. Anyway, that's one possibility.
