WW16: The Outlaws and The Olives

Care to elaborate why you think so?
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Several people that are seeming quite scummy to me at the moment:
One of Sareln and uberfish. The jump, first onto me, then on Bigger as soon as I claimed, seems like a desperate attempt to save a fellow wolf in thestick. I say only one of them because I can't imagine wolves thinking it a good idea to have two of their number do so almost identically.
Deciding between the two, uberfish has actually had a presence in the game outside that move, and has seemed to be somewhat useful to boot. So, I'd pick Sareln as the more likely of the two to be scum.

Qgqqqqq, for pretty much the reasons novice has outlined. Didn't go anywhere near any of the main lynch targets yesterday, and was reluctant about voting for thestick in a situation where there was still a possibility of him being saved (as demonstrated by how close the Bigger run came).
For now, I think I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt while the ostensible lack of a decent posting mechanism remains. Hopefully can get something coherent before the end of the day tonight, though.

Not necessarily scum, but quite random reads from Catwalk, the basis of which I covered in my post earlier. I fully understand the doubt yesterday, even after my claim, but the constant pressing for information that doesn't seem necessarily that helpful for the town, but may be quite useful for the wolves, especially after the advice last night not to divulge further about my role, doesn't seem all that consistent...

This is another suspicious post. Especially for this:

"Several people that are seeming quite scummy to me at the moment:"

These several people are the ones everyone was talking about in the thread: Uber, Sareln and Qgqqq. Why is that a problem? Because Mattimeo started the post not with a "I'm commenting about players being suspected", but with a sentence that implies he's making a contribution of his own suspects. And then he goes on to list who everyone is suspecting. Seems fake to me, like having to create some suspicions instead of having them.

Mattimeo gets a pass from me for now due to the claim, but it's important to watch him and not find his innocence a given (especially if his posts continue like this one).

Sorry to spam the thread, but post 200 by thestick is a very compelling evidence towards Mattimeo's innocence (I was starting to think his claim could have made to save him in detriment of the lesser power role in thestick). but that one post is very difficult to fit in a "Mattimeo is a wolf theory".

After reading Merovech's last post, I was tempted to do the same Serdoa.

When it comes to him I am getting this feeling of someone who is quickly hopping from place to place.

His mayor votes are an example and he seems quick to jump elsewhere as soon as a current target defends themselves.

I don't like it, but I'm not sure if its a new mafia trying to stir the pot a bit too obviously, or just a bit of a clueless villager

I have not yet changed my vote today.

Can you give me the proper name of your role please?

Having thought about it and having seen the name of thestick's role, I think a 'cloaker' is not a role name that would fit with the theme of this game.

Spy works fine as a mafia would have such things and so fits with Brick's theme, but I don't think 'cloaker' does.

Was hoping you'd come back to that post. It's what makes it hard for me to doubt Mattimeo's innocence. That and the push on Matt which seemed an attempt to derail thestick's appt with the noose.

Did you post this exact thing before or am I having unexplained déjà vu?

I think its deja vu from my last game.

On the 'weird' themed game I last played I asked for an exact role name from someone too
