Ok, back to the game at hand:

Mackoti wins the Tactical smoke Of The Day Award

His HA can't take Nu Lupu by itself; he needs the catapults to bombard, and the axemen to cover them against spears. That stack has over 20 units on it already; those catapults are safe from being attacked.

So, the HA stack is going to get hit by every single spear that Luddite has...and then the Vulture comes into play.
The Vultures should also get a fair few HA kills. And what does Mackoti gain by splitting his stack? Absolutely nothing.

I'm not sure I follow.

My reading of that screenie is that the stack by Nu Lupu is the one with the catapults in.

The stack in the forest further back only has 4 units in & no HA (which would be the visible unit on the stack surely?)

Am I missing something?
"You want to take my city of Troll%ng? Go ahead and try."

Oh, I misread that. Hm. smoke on me, then.

I don't understand Luddite's last comment. Does it mean he didn't see that stack in north? It should have been visible last turn. Or he just thinks it doesn't have enough units in it?

I'm fairly certain that post was before mackoti moved up.

That stack should have never snuck up on Luddite, though: he could run a chariot out of Nu Lupu every turn, and scouted the forest where the 4-unit stack is sitting.

luddite Wrote:I hate to admit it, but I just don't have enough units to fight him right now. I have 10 vultures, 4 spears, and 2 chariots- not nearly enough. My plan is to withdraw down to peacemonger, let him take that city too, and then counter attack as soon as he enters the city. Hopefully he'll enter with his full army. On that turn, I think that I'll have 16 vultures, 4 spears, and 8 chariots ready to attack, plus 3 vultures and 2 spears in the north to cut off his reinforcements and retreat.

Time to take a step back and try to remember why you're even in this war.
I have to run.

Looks like luddite is going to fall down a few notches on my next ranking ....

I never understood why he didn't make a counter offer to Mackoti's proposal and get out. I think if he had offered the silver city in exchange for peace and the GScientist, that might've worked.
