Ilios Wrote:Ah, you're hoarding cash in anticipation of Guild of the Nine, to mass-purchase Mercenaries?
Nope!

I do intend to build the Guild of the Nine, but keep in mind it's not a magic bullet.
The mercenaries themselves are a bit mediocre (str 5 + 1 bronze weapons = str 6 no other abilites, melee units, 1 move, 0 xp) and are not cheap at 180 gp each. I'm not even sure if they get the Raiders promotion (will have to check at some point).
It gets stronger lategame when cash is more plentiful. I'll be building the Bazaar of Mammon in Caledor hopefully soon, which should synergise a little bit.

So in summary, cannon fodder. smile

Wish.
No one owes me money unfortunately frown, and the only undefined debt I have is Veez's favour from Selrahc.

Profane Wrote:You're rush-buying CAs in cities that can't do 1 CA/turn.

EDIT: Make that 2 CA/turn - unless you're willing to pay a premium...
I looked into that, and may use it a little bit.
Rush buying costs 3 gp/hammer ordinarily.
Trying to rush 80h CAs in 1t off the bat however runs straight into the +50% penalty (as you pointed out), and so 1t CA costs (80 x 3 x 1.5) 360 gp each.

I can get around that by rush buying next turn in cities that have already stored some hammers into CAs (Avelorn and KK) which will then mean they have a decent overflow to 1t build a CA next turn also.
However thanks to the GA those cities will already overflow sufficently anyway, but non-GA it's definitely an option.

On the right track again, but nope! smile

You want to Bribe Iskender with say, 4k gold so that he attacks Bob like the mercenary he should be!

If the AI vassals out of his free will (=not miltary enforced) which does sometimes happen, they can renounce it if they want. Guess this holds true for Cull too.

Does Operation ATM involve hordes of Centaurs 'withdrawing cash' from foreign-owned Towns, Villages, Hamlets and Cottages? wink

Something to do with the dwarves and the gold they horde?

I'm gonna go with the obviously wrong (too simplistic for the great and mighty Pb) All the Marbles or A Total Massacre!:war4:
