hey - I can log into the game from Australia. I didn't think I could given that I didn't have access to the router here. Anyway, I find that we are at war with Imhotep. However, this confuses me - why are we at war and not about to declare war? Is this due to the confusion regarding the no double moves?

I always thought you could walk up to the border ... then, next turn (after waiting at least 9 hours) enter the enemy territory and trigger war. It seems that TAD declared at the end of last turn with our movement still to come.

I think we step into the forest (1NW) and then send the email above to Imhotep and discuss the current situation.

Well, the game has messed up my move thanks to the pause.

I had no idea if the order went through or not. Thanks to this quirk the damn praet moved south not northwest!frownfrown

Anyway, if you can log, feel free to chime in anytime.

So, to confirm: War was declared after moving adjacent to, but not inside, Imhotep's borders, leading to the picture above. Then the next turn the praet moved 1S instead of moving into enemy territory due to a pause/misclick/go-to order?

that is what TAD seems to be saying. I think that is grounds for a reload. It'll take 2 more turns to be where we should have been and Imhotep could have 2 units in that city by then.

TAD - you are still in charge of The Borg. I'm not back in NY until Saturday. I can log in from here but it is a little unreliable. That said, I logged in and played part of this turn (moved Preat into Imhotep's land and promoted him to shock).

Imhotep has an Imp, Warrior and Scout protecting his city. We have 95% attack odds on Imp but that will reduce slightly as the Imp will gain another +5% fortify bonus next turn. There are also 2 workers around - would be nice to capture one of those - but take the city - that is priority.

We finished another Preat and I sent him North.
