OOC: This looks like it might be one of the last completely story updates, so Iâll try to make it good.
Sorry if this update is a little late, but my internet decided to bite the dust last night. I spent until midnight trying to fix, and then I decided to give up and go to bed. And as soon as I got back on my computer this morning, the internet had fixed itself
Anyway, on with the actual updateâ¦
Recap Narrator Wrote:Last time we left the Grigori people, Benedict had begun his journey to Seven Pines, we found out what mana we have, and discovered what Enchantment Mana does.
Benedictâs map
Benedict looked over the city, and was impressed despite himself. He had left the main party but a few days ago, yet they had already set up a city well on its way to prosperity. From the hill overlooking the city, Benedict could see the happy, smiling,
healthy faces of the citizens, a remarkable change from the sallow and pale masks of yesteryear. Benedict saw Bendas training new warriors, and for a moment, Benedict considered retiring and taking a role in teaching the scouts of a new generation. He could see in his mind a school for those who had interest in the arts of survival in the wilderness. A lodge, perhaps? Slowly the images faded, and Benedict shook his head to clear it. A dream for the future, perhaps, but there was too much work to still be done before that dream could be realised.
Lost in thought, Benedict did not notice as someone crossed the river and begun climbing the hill. If he had, he might have noticed that the figure had not swum, but
walked across the river. Benedict only noticed him after he had made it halfway up the hill. Benedict, observing the strange figure, frowned. It was a slender man with fiery red hair. He had only seen such a hair colouring twice in his lifetime, once upon an orc heralded as a holy prophet of Bhall, and once upon an angel of Bhall. Perhaps this was one of the legendary âBannorâ, the uncorrupted followers of Bhall? Benedict had heard they were all dead. As the tale went, Sabathiel, Archangel of Order, had broken into Bhalls realm and tried to return the Bannor to Erebus. All had gone according to plan, until Bhall discovered Sabathiel and the Bannor escaping. The rest of the story can be left to the imagination.
As the figure topped the rise, Benedict heard him muttering under his breath;
Acalostas: â¦walking on water? Hah! What is Fire & Ice gonna teach me next? How to bring the dead back to life? If so, I might as well call myself Jesus! Hah!

The figure halted at the top of the hill, catching his breath.
Acalostas: â¦maybe we should teach the Grigori how to build stairs⦠â¦or maybe I should eat less bananaâs, insert some variety into my dietâ¦â
The figure, realising that Benedict was watching, straightened up and cleared his throat.
Acalostas: Greetings Scoutmaster Benedict, I donât believe weâve metâ¦
Benedict: â¦
Hours later, Benedict pondered the message he had been given. Go to Seven Pines, and there you shall find what you need to do. Perhaps he would have been told more, but Acalostas had abruptly departed after Benedict had inquired of the cityâs name, saying he had other scouts to visit and excusing himself. There were no other scouts. Benedict sighed and wrote âThe Nameless Cityâ on his map.
â¦and slowly as the people grew used to this new world, they regained their confidence, and ranged further and further from their homes, claiming more and more of the land as their ownâ¦
...whether this new confidence would turn out to be well-founded or not, is yet to be known...
Above all, Ravus Sol watched in anticipation. His world was coming apart at the seams. The greatest of his servants had divided themselves into lines of Good and Evil. Unknowingly, both sides contributed to the coming end. Their endless bickering was tearing the world in two. But as always, he could only watch, never interfere.
It was for lack of
Balance that the world wanted. For the world to survive, Balance must be restored.
And so it was that Ravus Sol watched the people led by the Archangel of Balance and his disciplesâ¦
â¦Waitingâ¦
â¦Hopingâ¦
OOC: I think I dropped the ball on this one. This update is very⦠top heavy, I suppose. The Benedict scene was too much
and not enough :cake:
Oh well, anyway, it looks like I have 1 more story update left (barring any unexpected last minute bandwagons, which are obviously a sign of werewolves in the thread)
I think you guys are right; I should go with option 2)
And finally, I suspect that
Mackoti is a Werewolf because he is very aggressive and wishy-washy in Diplomacy (:neenernee) , while
Ilios should be mayor because he is very patient for updates, and a werewolf would attack at any sign of weakness.
