Did you decide not to attack Omar?

Had to call it off. He pulled half the troops out of the city. and set the on the tile behind. I could massacre his force in the city, but then my units would be wiped in turn, quite easily. I'm trying to avoid any battle that will allow T3 to use their cannons offensively. Moving this way though has at least forced them to move their main force here instead of more north where they could march directly toward Beijing.

I started the turn and put some water on to boil. Saw that Shoot had moved his army away from behind Omar and 3 tiles away. It could no longer reach my units outside the city to the north. I took my time. The water boiled away and my pot burned. I need a new pot and I'm still hungry.

I bombarded the culture. And it began.

Huzzah, Huzzah, HOORAY!

The only bad thing is I couldn't raze it. But I killed their culture buildings and got 100 capture gold. I should lose the pike that took the city and possibly a couple more units if he has knights within reach. Dunno where the stack that was behind this city earlier went. It was about the same size.

Your hammer costs:

10 x 33 (Cats) = 330
4 x 40 (CKN) = 160
3 x 53 (Musket, Jan) = 169
= 659

Their hammer costs:
5x 67 (Cannon) = 335
6x 53 (Muskets/eers) = 318
5x 60 (Knights) = 300
3x 33 (Cats) = 99
2x 40 (Pikes) = 80
1x 33 (LB) = 33
= 1165

Its a roughly 1.99:1 if you compare the power ratios. Dunno what the total power that got flushed was but its certain to be fun to watch the power graph.

Lewwyn was right we got those units for free. However we really need to pull back. Also they still have ~10 cannons moving to that location. It would be fun if we could do this again after our wounded jannisaries go back home.
